He can spin the rock, that's really all I care about... I'd love to have a Josh Allen, but the pocket guys still rule along side the athletes, you dont have to search to see it.

16 completions in 27 attempts for 186 yards against Miami. Vs. 'Bama and Oregon the D shut them down so he didn't even attempt 20 passes.

Indiana's D was 4th in total D and 1st in 3rd down completion, 2nd in scoring.. That's a big leg up for a QB.

You do not understand team football if you think Mendoza carried his team. He had one run in the final five minutes which was good -- but as someone who played D I do not credit an O player when the defender has him and does not even TRY to wrap.

You do understand a QB makes the plays they are asked to make yeah? He was getting pummeled all fucking night. Your boy Carr would have fuckin quit. Converted multiple 4th downs to win vs an overmatched team. Again, you demonstrate that you have no idea what you are looking at. You come with some stats because maybe you didn't even watch the games?

I don’t think he carries the team in that game. What he did do is step to the plate every time he had to though. That run game of Indiana and that blocked punt were the difference. It’s not a knock on Doza he was fine and in the biggest moment he made a huge play: in the biggest moment Beck threw a pick. Doza put his body on the line and Beck threw it short and inside.

Fuck kicker and punters …

Plus Doza got lit up all game and never flinched. It’s not always having a great game that makes a difference sometimes it’s standing tall and never backing down that makes all the difference. He did that in spades as much as it hurts for me to say about that particular game. Will be proud to call him a Raider this year.

I’m not sure they were an “overmatched” team. They were 15-0 and undefeated through the season. Can we really play the “underdog” card vs a team that barely got in?
 
Are you saying Notre Dame should have gotten the nod over Miami? :tongue2:

He basically did what was asked of him. Made the big throws while under duress all night and of course that clutch run which was the play of the game. Plus he didn't turn the ball over once. Was it his best game as a collegian? No. But he came up big in crunch time.

People are just looking for shit to knock him down.

I still say the run game carried the team to that win. 130 yards vs Miami was very impressive to me. 78 in the second half with the Doza TD run.

Plus Indiana defense was absolutely insane. Miami only rushed for 117 yards and 57 of that came on one play. Absolutely amazing defensive play from that team.

Honestly just a great team win and I really don’t think any one person or individual put it “on his back”. 2 4th down plays doesn’t make you that guy. Going 16-27 and zero passing TD’s didn’t win them the championship.

I can look at Ohio State and Oregon games and say yep.. Doza lit it up and dominated the other team. Missing only 5 passes and throwing 8 TD’s in back to back games is damn near the definition of put it on me “I’ve got this”.

Fuck Punters and Kickers.
