I've never considered GnR to be part of the hair scene. They weren't glam in the least.

In some ways. I think a lot of it has to do with more of a retrospective look instead of a contemporary one. By the time I was paying attention to music, they had all pretty much fell off the scene, so I didn't double back to them until probably 20 years after their time.Are hair bands and glam rock/metal synonymous for you? I associate the latter specifically with the LA sleaze era scene. There was a definite different look to those bands. Hair bands are basically bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, etc. to me.
I've been going through band discographies on my daily walks just to see if I can pare down my music library a bit.
I'm 4 albums into Sabbath. I think there's two songs I care to keep.
