Alice In Chains was my favorite of the main bands of that era. Not really grunge but it's also when I started paying attention to Corrosion of Conformity.
AIC was up there for me too. Dirt is one of a few albums I can listen and not skip a track. It's aptly named too as I feel like dirt after listening to it
COC's just a damn good rocking band

Soundgarden was always my favorite grunge era band. I saw STP several years ago and they were fucking amazing. Scott Weiland had *it* - absolute rock star.

L’il Devil remains my far-and-away favorite track from The Cult.

The fact we can name off 4-5 different grunge bands from that era and put them on an all timer list is a testament in itself.

When I was young I liked AIC the most and hated the others. The others were gay or softer or didn’t get as dirty and dark etc. “more mainstream!!l

Then I got older and my rankings changed. All of it is awesome stuff and I miss it. Depends on the mood and day but it all beats the shit out of stuff today.

Scott is the most underrated front men in rock. Before drugs took him over

My favorite of the grunge bands outside of AIC is Tad and Melvins. Of the "true grunge" bands those are my top 3

Melvins are one of those bands I want to like more than I actually do. Mostly because some of my favorite bands are bands directly inspired by the Melvins. They're hit or miss for me though.

When my band broke up the other guitarist moved to Seattle and started Imperial Space Pod and they played a bunch of shows with and became friends with Tad.

A minute long song with Shatner on vocals and Chris Poland on guitar. The world just keeps getting weirder.
