I’m glad it’s flopping this bad if it really is that bad. It’s what they deserve from intentionally fucking up a slam dunk. How hard is it to just give people what they want?

supposedly Phillips didn't want to do a sequel, but they kept bugging him and paid him a shit ton of money, even before the film was finished we heard that. Seems like a FU as a result.

Because it wouldn't be considered "art" then.

Odd that Joaquin would sign up for that. The way he's talked since the first movie, Arthur is a character he wasn't bored with by the time Joker wrapped. He was still firing ideas at Phillips about what else they could do, like he was still excited about embodying Arthur. After this disaster, though, I imagine he's been purged of that feeling.

Now I'm seeing mentions of something that could be a major spoiler. If it's actually part of the movie...🤦🏻

Weird shit makes them feel like thespians. It’s an ego thing. I can see how it could seem interesting conceptually with most of it being figments of his imagination, just sounds like the execution wasn’t there. I’m sure the acting and such are top notch though, which is why I’m curious if people may eventually come around to it and it gains traction down the road.

Love Willam...
