Movies Discussion

Any examples come to mind? I can't bring myself to watch it.

Cantina Music scene from A New Hope but more blatantly Thor. He actually referred to his brother as Loki at one point because it was so obvious.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about Disney's influence on this one. As of late, everything they touch turns to shit.
Definitely a concern. Hopefully the star power of Reynolds and Jackman keep them at bay.

Hell, didn't Rebel Moon do the same thing? Is JJ Abrams writing everyone's screenplays all of a sudden?

doesn't look terrible... I'm not running to the theater for it though.
I will be. Everyone in the house really enjoyed the last one. Itโ€™s such a rare thing to have happen in our home, I want to capitalize on it.

Ok, so don't judge me. My wife is out of town and my kid wanted me to take her to see Madame Web for Valentine's Day. I had zero interest in seeing it personally. It was so f**king bad we were laughing leaving the theater. The smugness of wasting an entire movie specifically to set up a sequel that will never, ever get the green light is just wild. Also a little bit of a bait and switch making it seem like an MCU movie when it was really Sony. Negative 1000 rating from me.

If it's any consolation to you, it doesn't sound like Dakota Johnson is thrilled about it either.

Just got back from this movie. A Negative 1000 rating is kind.
