Moss to Vikings?

really? I'm not so sure. Last year Moss was injured half the season and was basically ineffective. This year he's done very little except act like a f-ing little bitch. If we get anything for him I'll be happy. A third at this point would be outstanding imo.

For some reason, I'd find it hilarious if we traded him back to 'Sotta....

Ciatrick Fason and their 3rd....

We'd probably then resign Nap Harris as a free agent just so like Gabriel, we can tell ourselves we came out ahead in some way...

If Moss' trade value is only a 3rd rounder, I think it's safe to say that Moss won't be going anywhere next year. It also makes you wonder what the hell Porter's non-existent trade value would be... Unless Davis can get a 2nd rounder back for Porter, I don't see him going anywhere next year either.

Who would have thought that Moss and Porter tanking the season has pretty much guaranteed their return back to the Raiders. Leverage can be an incredible thing sometimes. On the bright side, Moss and Porter's impending return will at least put a one-and-done sign on Art Shell's office door.

I assume Moss's deal would have to be re-worked if any trade were to take place. That might be the kicker there. I think Porter will be the odd man out especially if we have to pay Curry this offseason

The irony of this rumor is that Porter would actually be the better fit in the West Coast offense Childress runs....

If I had to choose, I'd prefer to keep Porter over Moss since I think JP's salary is pretty small next year...

If Shell is retained as coach, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he moved Moss and Porter to somewhere like Jax and New England and then see Al sign Terrell Owens as a free agent... Much like Romo, I think we all know deep down that TO will end up in Oakland at some point... :D

This is a sportwriter dreaming in print. Al will not let Moss go for a 3rd, particularly back to the team he got him from.

If we land a 3rd, I'll do backflips. Anything to get that turd away from this team.

I can't imagine Childress wanting anything to do with another pansy ass headcase diva. Probably just hear-say.

Heard it on FSR yesterday. Sounds great, but it also sounds impossible.

MOSS BACK TO MINNY?

A December 24 item in the St. Paul Pioneer Press suggests that the Raiders would be willing to trade receiver Randy Moss back to the Vikings for as little as a third-round pick.

Though we've had a gut feeling ever since his departure in March 2005 that Moss is destined to return to Minnesota, we can't envision coach Brad Childress, who got all he could handle in Philly from a turdish receiver named Terrell Owens, wanting Moss on the roster. Given the manner in which receiver Marcus Robinson was unceremoniously ushered out the door this week, it's clear to us that Childress isn't inclined to put up with problem children at the one position that seems to breed them.

Indeed, when there was talk of a Moss trade before the October 17 deadline for doing deals, we looked into whether the Vikings might be interested. And we learned unequivocally that the Vikings had no desire to bring him back.

Still, the one thing that could make it happen is concern by ownership that ticket sales for 2007 could dry up, since after a decade of explosive offense was replaced in 2006 by a horizontal passing attack that conjured memories of the 1970s. But back in the days of Tarkenton and Foreman and Gilliam, the rest of the league was strapped with rules that made it harder to stretch the field. Today, the yardage-challenged Vikings are the exception, not the rule.

A return of Randy Moss would energize the fans and, in turn, the offense. Sure, he'd have to learn the West Coast offense. And, yeah, he might have lost a step. But if the goal is to keep the locals interested in the on-field product at a time when the franchise is trying to get a new stadium built, bringing back Moss could be a wise move.

Even if the coaching staff doesn't want him.

does it matter, I don't care where he goes and/or If he goes, but he or Porter have to go somewhere....or Both of them for that matter.....

I'm probably in the minority on this one... but I'd like to see them stay. We have the cap space, they have no trade value, and..........

If we could put Moss, Curry, and Porter in a 3 WR set with Adrian Peterson coming out of the backfield, I think we have half the pieces we need to return to the spread offense of 2002 that shattered every offensive Raider record. Obviously QB and OLine would need to be addressed in FA... all this is assuming we can get a real coach in this place.

I guess that'll be my holiday fantasy. :D

Count me out. Those two a-holes don't deserve to be back in a Raider uniform. They might have talent, but their piss-poor, me-first attitudes have no place in a team game. I believe they do have some trade value, but at this point I don't even care. Just get rid of them. The longer we keep guys around like them the longer we continue to suck.

You say it like we've never fielded primadonnas on the field before. If we sucked as hard as we did with Walsh and crew before. Rice, Brown, woodson, Gannon, and countless other raider greats would have Gave us pussy fits just as bad(in most cases worse).

IMO the one who unjustly wears the raider clothing is Art Shell. Because we are known for and have always fielded rejected assholes in exchange for their talent. Our way of keeping them happy in most cases was the environment(which has gotten silly under shell) and the competitive efforts as a team(again something we've lacked as a team).

I think he can be our HC and that these guys can be our WR's. But we have to stop giving art power.
