Randy Hanson, an assistant with the St. Louis Rams last season, joined the Raiders as an assistant secondary coach.

Hawthorne (the nipple guy ain't gonna like this) and Ekejiuba (the Peyton Manning guy ain't going to like this) are gone.

n other news, the Raiders did not tender contracts to the following restricted free agents: running backs ReShard Lee, Adimchinobe Echemandu and DeJuan Green, tight end James Adkisson, linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba, and defensive tackles Anttaj Hawthorne and Michael Quarshie.

Also, Curry's extension is only for 1 more year.

Not all the news concerning the Raiders was disappointing. Veteran wide receiver Ronald Curry agreed to a restructured contract that now runs through the 2008 season
