So we have the box set of “Downton Abbey.” Is it something good or something to watch because she wants to watch it?
it's awesome television if you're into history... docudrama type stuff... it is something of a soap opera so you have to pay attention, and view in order to stay with it.... the character development is really first rate, and I'd suggest that this kind of story telling(historic) is what the British do best... top notch stuff.

I didn't watch it back in the day when it was getting all the hype because naturally I saw it as girly stuff.. I mean Downton Abbey just reeks of teh ghey, amIright?

I started watching one day to see what was up, and because it was free on prime and I ended up burning through the entire thing in a week or two, then bought the last season because I couldn't wait for it to show up for free...

haven't seen the movie, but heard from fans(yes girlies) that it's great... almost bought the cookbook just because :pound:

Downton Abbey not for me - Its well done and we do some decent period/historical drama.

If you like that type of stuff and can get it try Jamestown ( local interest for you ) Sky 2017 -19

Non musical adaptation of Les Miserables ( BBC mini series 2018)

Great Expectations - Dickens ( BBC mini series 2011 )

Sherlock Holmes from 80s/90s with Jeremy Brett as Holmes - Tv series Granada tv

Also Maigret - 4 stories with Rowan Atkinson as Maigret and hes really good (ITV 2016/17 )

Transformers locked and loaded.
