this one will be fun to watch with those two top-5 picks going at it, but the game itself should be fairly one-sided. LSU will kick ass.

I'd love to see McFadden go for another 300+ and make this whole Bush debate moot. I think he's another special back that doesn't come around very often. probably won't happen but...
 
I don't keep up with college football as much I should, but I am gonna watch this game to see Dorsey and McFadden in action.
 
Again, girls, RB IS NOT THE ISSUE!!

We need to stay away from all these sexy position players and fix the heart of the problem as far as the roster goes.

Our OL and DL is broken!! There is not a RB in the world, or WR that is gonna mae our OL block better and or DL get off the ball quicker. It just doesn't work that way. What we need to do is start at the left saide of the oline and get quicker and bigger and work on down to the right side.
Same on the DL. Get a steady pass rusher on one end, a couple of line colapsers (is that a word) in the middle and another steady runstopping/pass defending guy on the other end.

All the QB's, WR's and Rb's in the world are not gonna help this team. Just look at Green Bay right now...........2 pretty decent lines, eh?
 
OL and DL are fucked, yes. But a great RB can cover up some of those deficiencies while you work on improving them.

I don't think McFadden will be there when we pick. I think Miami takes him 1st overall. So, it won't matter. Chris Long or Glen Dorsey. We win no matter what...unless Al pulls an Al.
 
We have the worst DLine in football. How will Al fix that.... draft a CB.

Ouch. McFadden just had a weak fumble on the kick return. Not a great way to start.
 
He wouldn't be returning kicks for us anyway.

A dangerous thought considering Al could easily draft him and try and covert him to an OLB in a 34....

Didn't get to see this one. McFadden obviously had a large game. Dorsey do anything of note? What about HB's jihad Felix?
 
Jones has played well but McFadden is a one man wrecking crew. Dorsey is not playing at 100%. Ok get me a couple of OL this offseason and I may warm up to the McFadden jihad.
 
Did he do much damage taking the handoff as opposed to direct snaps? His longest runs seem to come off of direct snaps. I think the more he can do in a traditional RB role, the better his draft stock will be.

About half of his touches came out of that wild hog formation...

DMac reminds me alot of OJ Simpson with his running style... You don't like to see him put the ball on the ground three times, but he played a great game otherwise... He put an absolute sick block on that last deep pass they threw before going into overtime...


Between the knee and back injuries, Dorsey looks like a shadow of himself... He may actually be hurting his draft stock by toughing it out...

Well DMC looks sick but I was interested in seeing what Dorsey could do besides complain about his back and knee. Waaaah...

But LOL @ LSU...next.
 
I never saw Juice play, but McFadden reminds me of Marcus Allen from highlights I've seen in that he's such a smooth, beautiful runner and a naturally gifted football player, without any bullshit (on the field, I mean). Like how McFadden carries without a glove, like Marcus, and is good enough to make Tomlinson's little halfback passes seem pitiful.

DMC is faster of course, and I think Marcus had better peripheral vision and shuffling elusiveness, but as far as the way the two run, the way they stagger their feet and use their arms, I see him as that kind of gorgeous runner.

It is harder to evaluate him with that offense, though.

I think the one thing that is clear, though, is that even with Dorsey's health problems considered, McFadden has more potential to be SPECIAL than any of the other potentially high picks that would be suitable to be looked at for this team.

Given the rumors about Jerry Jones and his love of the Arkansas kid, I'd love to see if Al could hold his buddy over the barrel and get Dallas' two first-rounders and a bunch of other picks later on, and maybe even a lineman or two.

I know some here don't think much of DeSean Jackson at the next level, but I look at it like there's a big gap as far as value between him and the next receiver or two with 'game-changing' speed in this class, and if they could trade down and get him, and then an OT like Oher or Baker, all the better.

Because even with all the problems on defense (like Tony Montana said... other teams have to look at this defense and go, "...that guy sof'..."), with all the money invested in J-Rock, IMO, this team has to do everything in its power to get him off on the right foot.

Sign Berrian, sign Crayton, get linemen in here, yada.
 
Something I was wondering to myself...does Al have the money to sign another top 3 pick? That's gonna be a lot of cheese tied up in two players. :eek:

As many of us hope for every year, this would be good year to trade down and get more 'football' players on this team. But we won't.
