My nephew moved down there a couple years ago, not in Houston but close to it.
I figured he would be back by now but nope.
His wife's family are there, and I think he likes his in laws better than his own family and I can respect that.

Ironically, that's a big reason we moved here. Because most people are like "ewwwww the humidity, ewwww the traffic, ewwww the crime, eww the extreme weather", and while that's all true for the most part lol, there are also advantages such as amazing food, relatively cheap, I can fly anywhere in the country within 2.5 hours , major international airport, and a few other things.

I know home prices were much more affordable down there then they are here. Probably make more money there also,

The pay here is ass. I mean, compared to somewhere such as New Orleans, Little Rock etc., its decent but yeah you won't get rich here unless you're oil and gas or medical (Both huge here)

It obviously has some advantages it's just not for me.

I hear there is such a diversity of different ethnic foods.
