Maxx Crosby - HE’S BAAACK.

Yah I think there will be a run of OT's in the first. I don't think Vegas goes OL that early anyway, Seems to be a lot of smoke with Vegas taking a wr at 2.36. I don't know if it's indeed just smoke or if they are seriously looking at taking a wr that early.
If Ilheanchor drops, I think Spytek takes him. But I don't think he will. I do think Lee Hunter will be there and I would not hate that pick.

I think Macdonald will be off the board by then. I'm fine with Ilheanchor, Hunter or Christen Miller.

My guess it depends on OT, Edges and CB pushing Boston or Concepcion down.

I think Hunter and Miller will be there but the OTs will be gone.
Miller is interesting. Some draftniks think his best play is ahead of him (he's only 21), but the college production was meh. Hunter seems pro ready and seems to be a guy who sets a tone in the middle of a D.

Hunter and Miller are certainly options if targeted OT, WR and CB are off the board and SpyGuy does not trade down. I think it would be between them and Bisontis, Pregnon or fast-rising Rutledge.

Bisontis seems to be in that sweet spot for that pick. Dude is just a good player. JPJ hasn't been a model of health and he can play either guard position.

Agreed. And I don’t see SpyGuy leaving Day 2 without an OL, which leads me to believe OG is a real option at 2.36, or SpyGuy will either trade down in the 2nd or trade back into the 3rd for an extra Day 2 pick.

All the DT's have warts this draft. There's no consensus Jalen Carter this year. If Banks didn't have the foot issues, he probably goes off the board first.

It's such a crap shoot with these fatties. I'm guessing Leonard wants a guy with some versatility on the DL. I think Miller is that guy.

  • Versatility to line up anywhere from nose tackle to five-technique gives coordinators multiple looks; he has experience at every spot along the interior and can handle the responsibilities of each.

Last two Superbowls were won with deep D- lines. We have literally nothing at that position. We're deeper at edge, but the middle of the line needs help. Miller/Hunter- or a small trade up for McDonald and at least we'd be improving the depth there. Or Orange or Jackson a round later.

For Florida natives, why is Jackson not getting any run?

Agree completely with your assessment but as important as a DL is, no team is going anywhere without a solid OL, or a solid WR unit or a very capable secondary or even good depth at RB.

Raiders have a lot of holes all over this roster and think Spy could go in almost any direction with BPA in the second round and still hit a need that must be addressed if this team is going to have future success.

He ain't going to address all the needs in one offseason. Like you I prefer to build from the trenches out, but that said if there is a run on those positions, I have no problem with Spy going BPA and picking a player that fills another need on the roster.

I have come to terms with the fact that this is at least a two year process under Kubiak's direction to get this thing where it will really work.

Hopefully he follows the TB and Seattle blue print and gets the trenches sorted out first, preferably the OL. Would be hard to reach for a position of need because we have so many.

It's been mentioned previously, should we be talking to the Giants regarding Lawrence?
