Maxx Crosby - HE’S BAAACK.

I dont think Johnson gets out of they first.I saw Johnson mocked in the first to KC of all teams. Kid is just a baller. I saw his comp as Christian Gonzalez FML. Cisse and Ponds will be there.
If I thought Johnson would be there, he’d be in my ‘lil Al.

Det traded up and drafted G Tate Ratledge at 2.57, right before we picked. And Ratledge had a nice year. He was the only G drafted in the 2nd round. Three OT were drafted in the 2nd at 48, 54, 56, just before we drafted Bech too.
Seemed we got worked a couple times on players we were targeting in the draft last year.

Would rather just stay put and pick BPA than trying to get cute and trade down.
Last year, SpyGuy traded 2.37 and 2.48 before picking Bech at 2.58. The net result was two comp 3rds used on Rogers and Grant.

The problem wasn’t trading down, as @Handicapper General pointed out. It was making a poor selection. For example, SpyGuy could have drafted FS Andrew Mukuba, who Philly took at 2.64 and who started and played 641 snaps as a coverage safety. Perhaps we aren’t trying to replace Pola-Mao now.

I was giving you shit about your multiple lil Al entries….😂
My official, final entry has not been posted yet. I’m only on my post-pro day version, 4.0, like draft nicks say.

BUILD THE TRENCHES.
That’s a slogan.

OT7 worthy of 2.36 will be gone by 1.28. The drop off after that is big. Might not be an OT taken in the 2nd round (unless you think Dunker’s an NFL OT).

If you’re referring to Pregnon, Bisontis or Rutledge, I assume two of them will be there at 2.36. I just don’t view them as better than WR6 (Boston or Concepcion) or CB5 (C. Johnson or Cisse). I think one of those four falls to 2.36 as OT and Edges get pushed up the board due to position value and lack of positional depth. WR is the deepest position group.

If gone, SpyGuy likely will draft an IOL or DT. Or, he might trade down eying a mid-late 2nd WR. We have met with several of them, and all of them might be gone by 3.67.

We should be happy with competent
I’m optimistic. SpyGuy/Kubiak are meeting with prospects we should be meeting with per most everything I’ve read. I don’t recall that being the case under prior leadership.

As to WR, we seemingly have options at 2.36, in a trade down, and at 3.65. Similarly, but in lesser numbers, we have met with 3 levels of IDL prospects.

As to CB, I like that we met with two potential picks at 2.36 and a fallback option I like at 4.102 CB (D. Moore). Similarly, we have met with possible 3rd or 4th round safeties I like (Wheatley and Ramsey).

I have a feeling that by the time we pick, the top OTs will be gone. I'm in minority here but i'd have no issue taking a DT there, but it's possibly/likely the BPA will be a WR or a corner/safety. Not my preferred choices at that slot, but it may shake out that way.

I don’t know what to make of Stukes. We don’t need (this year at least) a nickel CB. We desperately need a coverage safety, though. I’ve read that deep and split safety, with his ability to match up in coverage, might be his highest/best use. Yes, it’s a projection. But with a 9.95 RAS for CB at 6’1”/190 lbs with 32.75” arms, I really like this chess-piece prospect.

Yah I think there will be a run of OT's in the first. I don't think Vegas goes OL that early anyway, Seems to be a lot of smoke with Vegas taking a wr at 2.36. I don't know if it's indeed just smoke or if they are seriously looking at taking a wr that early.

CB and S are both huge concerns for this team. A guy like Ramsey provides a little flexibility at NB as well as Safety.
