I always thought cousins were at least near your age range, give or take 20-30 years. When they are 150 years off, doesn't that get into the great-great-great uncle, twice removed type territory?

Yes, that is how it works. A 3x great uncle would have a cousin 3x removed from you.
 
I have trace ancestry of Native American although I predominantly have Eastern European and Asian origins. Ironically gf thought her boys had Native American from the dads side and they have zilch lol.

It became fashionable to have native American ancestry and it most often turns out to be BS.
I have about as much as anything else.

One thing I found interesting is the stereotype of inbred hillbilly's. I'm from a long line of dirt poor folks but a couple of generations back from one great grandmother's line they were somebody's. Them rich folks kept intermarrying within family's to stay in power and preserve wealth. It's generational and goes way back for hundreds of years if not longer. It's the rich folk that are inbred.

Thats so true. Guy I used to work with is from Charleston SC. He went to school with some of the uber elite kids. These are the descendants that trace their lineage back to the Mayflower. His dad was a successful doctor but that doesn't gain you access into their world. They married within their own flock to keep the wealth among themselves so I suspect there was some inbreeding going on.
