Well it looks that LJ will be the number one Running Back now that Hoolmes is on the PUP list and Bennet likley to make the number 2 spot followed by Griffith now the real question is LJ ready to be the full time starter RB i think he is with what he did last year now i know a lot of people is probably expecting him to break the record since he probably would have last year if he started all 16 games all i ask of him is to play hard with all his heart and soul we KC fans know what he can do the real question is can he handle the load and i think the answer is YES
 
Jonhson is a stud.

I wonder though how losing Willie Roaf is going to efferct the running game. Clearly it's not going to help.

Thoughts?
 
True Bones...losing Roaf hurts the Chiefs alot as a whole, but you gotta remember when Roaf was out last year for 6 games, LJ still got his yards...what sucks is that the Chiefs will most likely use Gonzalez to help block more again, which makes HIM very unhappy...and I don't blame him...when he has to stay in and block, it effects his stats in a bad way.
 
i don't know why Chiefs won;t pass to Gonzo much anymore he is still a threat if the Chiefs let him be i wouldn't be suprised if Gonzo doesn't voice his concern about blocking if that is what they want him to be he is not a blocker he is a Tight End dammit use him as one
 
It think they will try and take advantage of Gonzo more this year. That will limit LJ's production a little in my view. We'll see.

Not too much longer until we can't use the "it's just preseason" excuse anymore. (Until next preseason). :D
 
Larry Johnson is a stud and from the outside looking in, I never thought that Priest Holmes had any real shot at the starting HB job. He was a great player and the organization owes him some respect, but this is clearly Larry Johnson's job.

Hard to pass to Gonzo when he's blocking, don't ya think?
