I've seen enough of the Mary Lou Retton bullsheet.

Cute, crowd pleasing, and definitely ESPN worthy, yes, but infinitely more importantly, a very good way to have your leg go ... *SNAAAAAP*.

That might suck a lot.

The kid has too much potential as a future gamebreaker for us to see his career sidetracked by slopping the mustard on so heavily.

Put it to fucking bed, kid.

I'm actually more worried that he started jogging at the 30-yard line.

Do that in a real game and someone could come from your blind side and pop that ball loose.

Bebe would have caught him with all that slowing down and looking over his shoulder crud. On the other hand he is acting like he believes he belongs in the NFL and the rookie errors will get coached out of him (hope).

I love the kid and the level of excitement he brings to the Nation. But he is gonna get a rude awkening come real game time!

Play on Higg, but go easy on the show boat, reckless stuff.

Big deal....the kid slowed up after looking up at the 2nd largest jumbo tron in the NFL and then re-affirmed by looking over his shoulder. Then he did his Billy White Shoes Johnson in the endzone. On a side note, he did take gymnastics from ages 7-12.

I guess he could get injured I guess by doing the backflip....but so can the schmucks doing the Labeau Leap or Ronald Currys Black Hole Leap. Everytime Higgins has spoken he seems like a good kid, I'm not worried at all.

He's a weapon.....good game Johnny Lee!

Knocking ferociously on wood...

Remember this acrobatic little dude?

Thats my only problem. Otherwise, do what you do. Steve Smith does is all the same. If he gets in that ballpark, then do triple somersaults with double backflips if you please.

We need people with balls. Balls to come into someone else's stadium and piss them off. I honestly want everybody to have that attitude, because that wins road games imo.

1.)He's a sissy flimsy ass midget fuck kicker who couldnt even bring down Higgins.
2.) he's not even close to the term acrobatic. Which is why he damn near killed himself in the first place.

Exactly.

Personally, the cartwheel-back flip combo was pretty funny to me.

This dude is a weapon.

BTW, if anyone happens to see Jerry Porter, tell him the season is starting next weekend.

Showboat as you please. Every other team in the nfl will piss on the raiders logo from flexo Sharpe and Terrel Davis no limit soldier celebration, to chiefs enjoying themselves sideways when they score on us. We are the most hated team in the afc west and they all have a negative opinion of us no matter what. As long as we dont get a flag, showboat yourselves as much as you please i say.

My money is on him still showboating even if he does get hisbell rung. Which is a reflection of resolve and swagger i want on this team.

NFL = No Fun League.

I see no problem with TD celebrations. Don't get me wrong, guys celebrating after a routine tackle 8 yards down the field is stupid, but so what?

Am I the only one who's a little worried about our WR group? Porter didn't seem to show up in the preseason. I think right now Taylor's got to be considered the third guy but it's no convincing thing. Williams looks half there sometimes and I think in real game situations right now he'll just look to be a red zone guy, and Higgins looks like just a deep threat right now and not much else.

Thats a good point. Porter hasnt looked very good so far. Honestly if this was really a open competition would he be the starter?

I think Higgins runs his routes smoother than everyone else from what i saw. Porter just didnt care because its preseason. i expected that though. I thought curry looked great along with Madsen and Miller looking sharp. IMO we have 4 guys we can go to for a big catch(madsen, miller, curry, porter). We also have two guys who can step up out the blue sometimes for a big play(williams and higgins)...The weak link is travis taylor imo. He's looked up and downish this preseason. I really wanted will buchanon to bump him off the roster. Didnt happen though.

probably yes. because then he'd give a shit. thats what JP is. You guys are acting as we are talking about someone else :)

Personally, I'd rather see him hand the ball to the official... but that's just because I'm a stuffy old codger who is out of touch with the "entertainment value" that touchdown celebrations bring to the NFL table.

That said, if that's his touchdown celebration, I want to be annoyed by him doing it many, many times this season.

What's the old saying, "Act like you've been there before." To which I would add, and like you expect to be there again.

I can understand doing a big celebration on a TD that wins a hard-fought game, but I see guys celebrate sending a team 3 and out on the first series of the game. It's the 1st damned series guys. Do that with the game on the line and you earned it.

Even Hines Wards and Steve Smith both get into TD celebrating. And neither guy gets talked about as having no etiquette. You'd think this be less of an issue to some of us since we havent seen much scoring in awhile. Muthafuckas can start breakdancing for all i care if we are scoring.

The 'etiquette' aspect is secondary as far as I'm concerned.
I just don't want to see him snap his leg by landing funny coming off a useless backward flip.
There's just no upside to the move ..... other than for him to get his rocks off to watching it on ESPN late at night.

It's an accident waiting to happen, and it's brainless.
