Jarrod Cooper Interview...

Tattoo you! Raiders' Cooper starts a grand contest

David White

Hey you, the guy with the Al Davis mural green-inked across your back: Jarrod Cooper wants to see your tat's.

"Tattoo contest!" Cooper announced in the Raiders locker room Tuesday. "Thousand-dollar reward! Halloween! Yeah, I'm serious."

Do you think any of these folks are sporting Raider tattoos? Jarrod Cooper says, "Show me!"

That's right. Anyone interested in winning Cooper's money should send a picture of their Raiders-related tattoo to team headquarters (1220 Harbor Bay Parkway in Alameda) by Thursday, Oct. 26. Attn: Jarrod Cooper, with two R's.
"I've seen a lot of guys at signings with murals on them, so I want to see what's out there," Cooper said. "I saw one guy with 50 cheerleader heads on his arm, like portraits. I'm not exactly sure what he's got going on."

The non-returnable photos will be posted in the locker room. The team will help judge, but Cooper casts the decisive vote. He'll give the money to the winner by the Oct. 29 game against Pittsburgh.

Cooper, you should know, has a running tattoo that extends up one arm, down and up the back and around the waist. Sorry, Randy Moss, teammates and team employees are not eligible.

"It's my $1,000," Cooper said, "so I have the final call."
