Seriously folks, is there any reason why the Raiders wouldn't bring in another kicker and just cut this ass clown?

Haven't we had enough of this non performing prick? I am sick of holding my breath or looking away from the TV every time he attempts a kick. He is about the farthest thing from a clutch performer as you're going to find. Vanderjack is out there but aside from him what would we really be losing by cutting Janikowski TODAY? Any kicker can do what the dumb Polock does.
 
I would be happy with Vanderjact or anyone else for that matter.

I thought and still think that our Division Sucks, and with some of our opponents we play this year. Yes.....well not 11-5 but I was hopeful and I am still thinking over or close to .500 with our schedule and division I can see us turning things around this year. I was also thinking Culpepper was starting.
 
I guess my expectations were much lower. Maybe that's why I'm not as hellfire and brimstone as some people. I figured 6-10 and would have been pretty okay with 7-9.

I am still optimistic as well Jat....problem is we have the number 1 toughest schedule in the entire NFL. I think our only hope is I think Denver is over rated and we can beat them and I don't think SD is as good as all the hype. They have the offense but I think their defense won't be as good as it was last year. The Bears didn't score, but they are poop. If we can sweep the Chefs, split the Donks and Bolts, then we may be able to pull off a few road games and get 8-8, 9-7. But if our D continues to stumble.....ouch.
 
I'm guessing most people expect a 7-9/6-10 type season, but we're also expecting to notch the detroit lions in the win column.
 
i distinctly heard Kiffin say "no scholorship players here" and "I don't care where you were drafted, how much money you make, or who the hell you think you are but if you don't perform you're gone".

OK - lets see it. Janokowski has been killing us for years now and should be cut today. Enough is enough already.
 
As long as it's not Jose Cortez or one of the lawn gnomes from the Grammatica family, I'm down with giving someone else the shot... Jano just hasn't been good enough, but I don't know if Al would clip his 'history making' draft pick without putting up a hell of a fight...

I remember an interview with him from a year or two back which asked him why he thought he went through a bad patch every season and what he was doing to try to fix it. His response was it was just one of those things. He was again asked if he there was anything he thought he could do to prevent it and he said no, not really. That about summed him up for me.

The dumb shit is still on the team? Pfft...don't want him hanging around JaMarcus if you get my drift. Can't understand it. This guy has been screwing us for years. Get rid of him. Sign some soccer player off the Brazilian National Team --- we'll be fine. ;)

It should have for me too, but somehow that slipped by me (???).

Still, 'bones can attest to my "hate-tage" for Jano for the past few years.

The Chefs brought in another kicker this week to at least push their current guy.

If we can cut Zach Crockett, a guy who at least did something for this franchise, we should at least bring in some competition for the Polish Pea Shooter.

If we cant beat Detroit at home and SD beats the Bears then we are in for a LONG, LONG YEAR!! I was betting 7-9. I am doubting that now.
 
The Bears will be lucky to win their own division. Their offense is putrid. Madturk says take the under in the KC-Chi matchup this weekend. ;)
 
SeaBass flopping like fish

Question: Let's see, after week one of the 2007 season against the lowly Detroit Lions, would I rather have SeaBass or Shaun Alexander? Maybe Joe Nedney could still be kicking field goals for us, as he has for a bunch of other teams in the NFL since we released him for SeaBass. Hmm ... SeaBass or Alexander ... hmmmm

Answer: It didn't take long for Sebastian Janikowski to remind everyone what he hasn't done as a pro.

Don't forget besides Shaun Alexander, Chad Pennington and Keith Bullock were first-round picks that year who were picked after Janikowski, who hasn't been to a Pro Bowl since being picked out of Florida State in 2000.

His struggles are puzzling. If he weren't a first-round pick, I wonder if the Raiders would have gotten rid of him years ago.

He makes too much money to be so inconsistent. I know none of the kicks he tried were chip shots, but he's paid not to miss from 46.

A kicker noted for a strong leg can't miss kicks inside of 50 yards, especially for an offense trying to get untracked and needing every point.

By the way, Neil Rackers is a Pro Bowl kicker drafted the same year - in the sixth round.
