Raiders are normally one of the last to sign coaches, players, etc... but here we are one of the first to resign guys that are important... getting our staff filled out very quickly, etc etc... I'm not sure if this is Kiffin, Davis or someone else fueling this but it feels good not to wait on a few things.

This whole off-season has been a departure from Al’s usual m/o. I’m not sure who gets credit for the change, but I haven’t been this pumped for a long time. Now, if only Al would put the cherry on top and draft one of the QB’s…

Im not sure if im 100% sold just yet. But if we ever were gonna draft a high QB JaMarcus Russell seems to be an Al type of player. CJ, AP or JR.... torture.

You know...

I've been "pro-Quinn/Russell" since the minute we locked up the number one pick, but any one of the top-rated guys would do wonders for this team. More than anything, I want a long term impact player.

I agree, but lest this devolves into yet another QB-versus-RB-versus-WR-versus....... discussion, I will add that regardless of what the Raiders end up doing, I think it will be well thought by Al and his new staff. In the end, I will basically co-sign what is done because this new Staff needs the support of Raider Nation & the players immediately. United we Stand.

I also sense that despite his declining physical health, Al seems internally invigorated. I think that pulse still beats strong and the synapsis still fire. Might have something to do with the realization of mortality on his part, who knows?

I do want Randy Moss gone however. I don't think they could disuade me from that opinion. I don't care how bad the coaching staff might have been, the fucking defense didn't quit. The closest they came was the Cinci game later in the year, but for those guys alone, he should have played his ass off.

C-Ya dick.

Agreed.

Any of CJ, AP,BQ or JR will make this team BETTER.

I don't want Thomas though.

He'll probably end up in Canton, but for how much I LOVED the Gallery pick, its left me with a sour taste in the mouth...

It certainly seems the way, I remember Kiffin stating at the press conference that he could see how much the losing last year had hurt Al. I hope that is the case and not that his health has deteriorated to the point where he doesn't have much option, but to let Kiffin get on with things. Seeing how he got after Annnnn at the PC I think the first option seems more likely.

We're definitely not wasting a lot of time. I just hope all of these college coaches can learn quickly how to coach a team of professional millionaires.

ugh.

with joe thomas... look at last year with justice, mcneal, and dbrick...

i gotta say the chargers are happier with mcneal then the jets are with dbrick... 2nd round seems a better place for us to build the OL.

We're gonna have to be fair here...who is responsible for the change is Al Davis. He always gets dinged when there is no change or same 'ol thing so gotta give credit where credit is due.

Now if these moves don't work out nobody can dis Al Davis for it. right now most think the direction and the moves have been good. It's not going to be Al's fault if something doesn't work out. He's rolling the dice and changing which is what the Nation has been clamoring for -- now it's up to the new coaches and the players who will be on the field to do their jobs.

Co-signed. Of course you know by now that I'm an unabashed Al Davis loyalist (Kool Aid Drinker). If this dude was a dictator, I'd be on his Praetorian Guard.

Al Davis is the Raiders as far as I'm concerned. He also built John "Fuckie" Gruden's team too. Lest anyone forget.
