We gave him a usuable crowd of quick defenders this year and I must say i'm pretty disappointed with his usuage of them.

the LB core has no sacks coming into the denver game and thats a sad reflection of us not blitzing well at all. On top of that, he has to man up and put terdell on the field no matter what.

Its a shame because i honestly like rob ryan. But he has no excuses this year IMO. Theres plenty of season left to prove me wrong, but the d-line can't be the only ones chasing the qb IMO.

Lets get after Plummit and rush through a few times this week guys.

I am with you that we should be Blitzing the LB'ers more but then again so far the D has played well. Also we have had some guys nicked up (SAM) So I can't really fault Ryan either?
Personally I like the rotation of Kelly and Sands. That way they both are Fresh I would like to see them both in there once in a while with Sapp on the side line. I would like to see them dropping Gibson in the game once in a while and blitzing him like the Steelers do with Troy......(I am not compairing Gib to Troy)

Yeah, seriously now. I think the defense has been about the only real bright spot on this team outside of our kickers. I think Rob Ryan finally has 95% of the guys he needs for his system, and it's showing. The only real glaring absence is a stud DT/RDE combo. I think Kelley at DE would solve the RDE issue, and playing Big Terd in the middle would help muchly.. but what the hell do I know.

our whole LB core doesnt have a sack. Not even seattle was that low on blitzing pressure and their d-line lead the league in sacks last year(so they obviously didnt have to). I was cool with the lack of blitzing last year because we werent equipped for such. but i think we are this year(huff, howard, williams, and morrison are all capable IMO). but we honestly dont put pressure on other teams unless its from our d'line.

i want to see a more aggressive approach. especially when we have the lead. we got speed now, so why not gamble?:(

Seems to me that we don't do a very good job of disguising our blitz packages. When we do blitz, it seems that the opposition burns us for some long gainers. See Cle and SF games.

With Howard adn Williams I thnk we have the personal to use the blitz more effectively. You can't do it when the offense is it expecting it every single time. Remember when Hendericks used to roam the LOS and bust ass when he wanted to? That's the kind of thing we need but we were playing a 3-4 then so dunno.

i guess i'm just stuck on moments like with romo swore on the souls of his family he'd get griese if they let him blitz that blindside area he saw a weakness in(and he got him). you dont just blitz in typical spots. you go where they are weak adjust it when they adjust the offense. we are never going to cxompete with the big dogs if we don't get our blitzes together. but maybe if we snag a veteren SLB (yea i said SLB since sammy just isnt 100 percent durable), that might help. who knows though. but we could blitz huff from anywhere the way he shoots gaps and based on how much he plays up close, why don't we switch him up? :(

Agree with both moves. Didn't like Kelly moving to DT then and hate it more now. Him and Sapp will get pushed around all year, it's obvious. Put Kelly back to End, Insert Turdell Sands and slowly integrate Hawthorne over Sapp, sign a big, young dude from the waiver wire and go from there. If ya'll recall, Big Turdell was claimed off waivers from Green Bay. The Raiders tend to do pretty well in developing undrafted DT's so why not try it again?

The DT's don't appear to be drawing double teams, therefore the LB'er blitzes are being picked up rather easily by our opponents. Our Achillies Heel, as I feared for months, is the DT position.

Bingo. That, and the O-line were the two biggest question marks going into this year.. and they both seem to be STILL big ? marks.

Zombies and dead things.. wheee! Hey, just be glad you don't have to deal with the animated version of that bad boy. :D

Hey! Zombies are people too! Well, they used to be, but now they're just developmentally impaired, much like our beloved Raiders. Give them a bit of brains or flesh (depending on that particular brand of zombie) and they're decent enough folk. Burn them, bash their heads in or whatnot and they can get a touch cranky.

Yes, Bones & Turo are simply insensitve to the historical injustices faced by the downtrodden Zombie masses. Their Anti-Zombie rhetoric is most offensive to me. :D

Best Zombie film is the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead. Excellent movie.

Too much inconsistency in that one for me. Some times the zombies are trudging along like normal, and others they're taking a page out of 28 Days and racing around. Plus the fact that there was too much cheese there.

Wait, now that I think of it, I think I'm mixing it up with the more recent one where the zombies think and whatnot.

Greatest zombie flick ever is Shaun of the Dead.

I have to go with the original Dawn of the Dead for best zombie film although the remake was a very good film. Shaun of the Dead is also good for a different take on things.

Anybody played dead rising?
