Check this little tid bit out.....

Rather than dump Randy Moss, watch the Raiders try to appease him in the off-season by bringing in a former Marshall quarterback in soon-to-be-available Jacksonville passer Byron Leftwich.

I would love to see Byron come here (as Long as the Line plays better) and complete with Walter and who know who else will be here.....

THIS IS JUST A BLURB at the bottom, but I would love it.......

Also this little blurb as well.

-Regarding those "Davis wants to sell" rumors, the word is he simply wants to unload the same 31 percent he purchased following the 2005 settlement of a lawsuit with the heirs of former partner Ed McGah. He has no intention of relinquishing any control.

I hope not. Leftwich is an injury waiting to happen.

I bet L.Johnson exceeds that 410 carry record. Thing is to win the Superbowl as a widecard they would probably need to run him 30 to 40 times a game in the playoffs. So thats another 120+ carries. I think thats what did Anderson in. All those regular season carries plus the post-season carries.

Count me out of the Byron Leftwich jihad. We don't need another celebrity look alike here

No Byron for me. I'd rather draft Quinn and let Brooks carry the load for a year and then get Quinn into the mix. By then we'll probably figure out how to block on that offensive line. It may be unfair but personally I didn't see anything from Andrew Walter. Maybe he just needs time and some decent blocking but you don't get a lot of time in the NFL to get it done.

But, of course, we know that Al isn't taking a QB in the top 3. :o

Leftwich might actually be less mobile than Andrew Walter.

No thanks.

Today's QB's need to have the ability to make something happen outside the pocket.

Brady Quinn isn't going to come into the league and light it up his first year.. and most CERTAINLY isn't going to do shit behind this craptastic O-line. If we get a couple of bodies in here next year to actually do their frigging jobs, then I think we'll be just fine with Walter/Brooks in 2007.. assuming we address the RB issue, which is now a definate area of need with Lamont blowing a knee.

Call me what you want, but I despise Andrew Walter for the false hope he gives Raider fans. He just is not it. If we pass up another shot at drafting a franchise QB I'm going to lose my mind... even more.

OK how about Plummer? Mobile and as long as he doesn't have to win the game????
And hey he will want to stick it to Ratface next year.........

I not starting a Leftwich jihad just a New Vet QB jihad, if Moss or Porter stays we need someone that can produce, Not a rookie....If Moss goes then it would depend on what else we do in the Draft and FA.

Personal opinion is Bring in a Vet QB that can produce....
BULK up the O-line (either draft and or FA) then draft the change of pace back to spell Jordon and Draft or bring in another WR depending on what we do with Moss.

Then there is this idiot who thinks Bledsoe would come here.....NO THANKS.

What's the difference between Plummer and Brooks?

I don't see one.

I want to raid other teams' OLs in the offseason, draft Calvin Johnson or Dwayne Jarrett in the first round, dump Jerry Porter and Zack Crockett, draft Michael Bush in the second and Brian Leonard (Rutgers) in the third, and and pick up Daniel Graham as a free agent.

With a competent receiving corps of Moss/Curry/Johnson/Graham/Madsen/Williams, competent runners in Jordan/Bush/Leonard/Fargas and a competent OL in, well, whoever we bring in can't be any worse than what we have, plus a QB playing in a contract year, this team could actually be competitive.

If we fire Walsh, too.

I'm sure Mike Vick is going to be tied into Oakland as a possibility considering his current situation in Atlanta...

I dunno, HB... Blank's got serious wood for Vick. He'll let go of the entire coaching staff before he'd part with Vick.

Although I fully expect the Falcons to be mentioned as one of the hot destinations for Moss/Porter this offseason.

Nice take Natty...That arrogant punk Mora, Jr. may be looking for a job. I might know of a vancany on the West Coast.

Sheese 5 posts R-Nat. You're on a friggin' roll.

Wasn't Mora Jr. a offensive Coordinator????

It wouldn't surprise me the least bit of Vick wound up here. I personally don't want him, but that's only because of his contract. He's the kind of player that could actually have some success with Walsh. Not many could.

Yeah and he's got a much rep points as me, WTF?

Eh, Vick is starting to sound like he wants out... With Schaub already waiting in the wings to step in for him, it may make more sense to unload Vick rather than trading for another WR when they've recently spent 1st round picks on Mike Jenkins and Roddy White and gave up a 3rd to get Ashley Lelie...

I don't think I would be happy with Vick coming here either, but if He won then I would be......

My Ideal pick up QB next next would be somewhere in this order

Carr
Farve (for one Year)
Schuab
Leftwhich
Simms
Warner
Pennington?

The only way out of this QB mess is to draft one.

Al?
