they lost the senate though. so america is still a little stupid.

Regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, allowing one party control of the the House, the Senate, and the White House is just completely fucking stupid. Particularly when several Supreme Court justices are to be appointed. It completely circumvents the idea of checks and balances.

For that reason, I'm glad that the Dems have regained control of at least one of them.

Still, I'm a cynic. I think the difference between Republicans and Democrats has less to do with idealogy and more to do with who pays their respective bills. They're all bought and paid for, if you ask me, and do not in any way represent the vast majority of Americans.

Just my admittedly cynical opinion.

well honestly, I think reps and demo are bunch of idiots and crooks.

Totally on point. And, without having opposed legislative/executive branches.. you get the teenage daughter in the shopping mall with daddy's unlimited credit card problem we've had over the last two terms. I wasn't a big fan of Bubba, but at least he had a massively opposed congress to deal with. We had the smallest governmental growth in something like 60-ish years during his two terms.. which equated, to me, to one of the best presidential terms in the last 40 years.

(hey, no politicking! LOL)

Oh dear.
