I know you can personally recommend someone, and they get rep, I only have one of those, but my rep strength is 10? Just curious on how the system works.

You get rep points and rep power (little boxes - accumulated based on a points system - not posts) a number of ways. First you get some points just for joining. :)

You get rep for accumulated posts...i.e. when you reach so many posts you get some points and when you reached another post count you get more. they keep accumulating.. And of course you get "rep" when people give it to you or subtract from you by giving bad rep (I've rarely seen bad rep given unless maybe some toll that happens by who is really lame).

So that's about all I know about it.

The more rep power you have the more you give to others.

You can see rep comments in your UserCP where is shows the last 10 or something like that and the comments by the poster giving the rep!

hope that helps.

The UserCP shows the last 5 reps recieved...I can hack it to show the last 10 given as well, if you want.

You also get a point for every year you're a member.

As mentioned, the more rep you've recieved the more points yours is worth.

It basically has no effect on anyone YET at this point - but we can easily put in a system that sends people with gi-normous amounts of negative rep to the banished land of disgust (where the assholes are sent) automatically, or we can set it up to give special perks for people who have ginormous amounts of positive rep as well....

Crossbones - Don't I get "points" for past efforts?
Sadly, no. But just keep posting. And if you know and Charger, Bronco or Chiefs fans, send them over here too. ;)

That might get you some Rep!
