to end the season with the #1 ranked defense and the worst record in the NFL? We're currently #3 behind Chicago and Baltimore in total defense. If we keep playing like we have we got a shot at climbing to the top. Add in the fact those teams will probably be resting starters the final week or 2 and I think we have a damn good shot at ending the year with the #1 ranked D. It will sure shoot to shreds the old adage that defense wins championships. Fuck Tom Walsh and the frying pan he rode in on...

That's unfathomable. We'll probably drop back down this week after the Cincy game but that's still pretty impressive. I suspect we will finish in the top 5 by year's end.

Thats exactly what we were talking about yesterday, couple of Buc fans over here yesterday and we talking about the Bucs defense the last 5 years and this subject came up and I made this very same statement to them....

Turning the ball over and bad special teams plays will tear any team a new ass

I'd much rather have a balanced team than strong on one side and very limp dick on the other

If this offense could quit shooting itself in the foot and rank in the middle of the pack offensively with a strong running game this team could be very good

So lets go draft that RB and go on about our business

It is a killer. If only we had a competent offense we would be looking at the playoffs.

Last year's KC led offense with this year's defense would have us in contention IMO.

Aside from the week one loss to SD, we've been in the games until late 4th Q. Even with the myriad of turnovers and sacks vs Balt, we were still in striking distance in the mid 4th Q.

This is why I am optimistic about the future of the team. This yr was going to be shit anyway no matter how you look at it. Now maybe they will realize that you have to be a balanced offensive unit to have some success. The ability to make adjustments from the O-coordinator will help too.

Well, we definitely know the defense is not just good, but really set. All those draft picks for defensive backs have not been wasted, after all.

It's time to spend some serious dough on the O. This is a situation that can be turned around in a year, for sure.
