And I’m not particularly a Strickland fan. I just think he’ll stay behind his jab and defend and I don’t think DDP will be able to really catch him out of position and open for the big shots.

Man, the Aussies fucking hate Dricus. What’s that about?

Dricus looks fast but heavy. Big thumping leg kicks. If Sean can get through two rounds, I think DDP starts to gas.

Not looking good for Strickland. He's just not active enough.

Exactly. He’s staying behind his jab and defending like I said… but no offense at all. He’d better wake up and let it fly. I’ve got three rounds to Dricus.

Round 5. It’s knockout or nothing for Strickland because he’s definitely down 4 rounds.

I thought Sean would win because I thought he won the first fight with the cut. This doesn't look good.

This is very one sided. And not in a particularly entertaining way. It’s not like Dricus is dominant, like Zhang Weili was. He just dictated the pace, landed the better shots and combos in a fist fight that was far from a barn burner. Honestly, kind of a boring fight… in no small part because it seemed that Sean wanted to play defense the whole time - even in the 5th, when he knew he needed a knockout.

50-45, Dricus. And still.

Cejudo is a bitch. He thought he was up 2-1, and would get the decision. No way that eye poke took him out.

Holy fucking shit! It’s almost cliche to say that sometimes the most unheralded cards produce the most electric fights but this fucking card has been a fucking banger! The announcers were saying (with every good reason) that Amil v Gomes was a LOCK for fight of the night. Then, on the very next fight, the announcers were saying (with every good reason) that Haqparast v Ribovics was a LOCK for fight of the night.

Add to that Pinto’s knockout, Patterson’s (a supposed submission guy) knockout… what a great fucking card!

And after that, the main event was a disappointment. Amulbayev got poked in the eye a couple of times that didn’t get called by the ref. Kape was winning without the eye pokes so it’s disappointing that Amulbaye vs can come out of this with a legitimate gripe as to why Kape won. I also thought it was an early stoppage.

Agreed. Some of the best fights for an "underwhelming" fight night card. Great fights, minus the main event.

Ankalaev didn’t win that fight. I had it 3-2 the other way.
