I’ve got Strickland too.Who you got in the main event? I'm thinking Strickland wins.
Exactly. He’s staying behind his jab and defending like I said… but no offense at all. He’d better wake up and let it fly. I’ve got three rounds to Dricus. Not looking good for Strickland. He's just not active enough.
This is very one sided. And not in a particularly entertaining way. It’s not like Dricus is dominant, like Zhang Weili was. He just dictated the pace, landed the better shots and combos in a fist fight that was far from a barn burner. Honestly, kind of a boring fight… in no small part because it seemed that Sean wanted to play defense the whole time - even in the 5th, when he knew he needed a knockout.I thought Sean would win because I thought he won the first fight with the cut. This doesn't look good.
Agreed. Some of the best fights for an "underwhelming" fight night card. Great fights, minus the main event.Holy fucking shit! It’s almost cliche to say that sometimes the most unheralded cards produce the most electric fights but this fucking card has been a fucking banger! The announcers were saying (with every good reason) that Amil v Gomes was a LOCK for fight of the night. Then, on the very next fight, the announcers were saying (with every good reason) that Haqparast v Ribovics was a LOCK for fight of the night.
Add to that Pinto’s knockout, Patterson’s (a supposed submission guy) knockout… what a great fucking card!
Did you tell Dana ?Ankalaev didn’t win that fight. I had it 3-2 the other way.
Dana was too sad, thinking about all of the big money fights he can’t make with Perreira now. It seemed cruel to rub salt in the wound at the time. I’ll bring it up in our next staff meeting though.Did you tell Dana ?
