Eagles and Cowboys tonight, hoping to see the 'Boys get their asses handed to them.

It'll be a closer game than people think because of the division familiarity and game planning all off-season. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes to the fourth quarter.

I dunno, the Parsons trade might have let the wind out of their sails to start the season. Blow out wouldn’t surprise me.

Flus was a dumbass as an HC, but he's an above average DC. Actually, Chicago had a lot of good metrics on that front last year. Like I think they were one of the best run defenses in the league, and that's Philly's bread and butter. He just was offensively illiterate like too many of these defensive coaches.

I’m talking about the emotional let down. Like the year we traded Mack, team was flat for like 4 weeks.

Agreed, that's why I said Bonito is better. He's like if Koonce followed up 2023 with a 14 sack season instead of tearing his ACL haha
Bonitto was the #64 pick overall in ‘22. Koonce was the #79 pick in ‘21.

Koonce did not see real playing time until Y3. Bonitto played as a rookie.

Bonitto logged 502 snaps and had a good year in ‘23 (8 sacks, 47 pressures, 4.2% SIS). Koonce played after McD got fired, logged 483 snaps and played better in ‘23 (8 sacks, 48 pressures, 6.0% SIS).

Like you said, Bonitto followed up with a 13.5 sack season. Koonce tore his ACL. Two different directions.

Yes, Bonitto earned 13.5 sacks. But he got home b/c of coverage. He did not have any more pressures. His conversion rate just went through the rough last year.

Bonitto should benefit from solid coverage again. Koonce, well, not so much. That, to me, might be the biggest difference in their numbers, assuming Koonce bounces back.

I don't know. I think most of those players knew it was coming if you listen to Prescott and some of the others. Like I always say, Jerry has his favorites, and I think they all were aware Parsons wasn't one of them.
