General NFL News Thread - 2026

That new owner is sounding like one of those dummy owners too. Got upset because people quoted him about moving the team just like about him being a Steeler fan. It'll be interesting what happens when something goes wrong and it requires him or his wife since he said she'll be involved to make some choices.

It sounds like some players in Miami had a hard time with him. Pussies.

It really was mostly just Tua, who he ended up being right about in retrospect. It was more the people in the building, namely Chris Grier and some of the front office people behind the scenes, which is definitely a problem too. This wasn't a Josh McDaniels situation where most of the players hated him.

There certainly was front office friction, stemming from his issues with Tua. But he is or was an old school coach before he built trust and credibility in the locker room, and today’s athletes or at least many in Miami were into that.

Flores developed a reputation for being exceptionally strict and demanding on players, which earned respect from some but created friction and strained relationships with others—most notably regarding his handling of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

BREAKING: Broncos WR Jaylen Waddle and RG Quinn Meinerz were FINED $14,926 each by the NFL for their Yahtzee dice roll celebration during Week 3.

Meinerz and Waddle pantomimed rolling dice after Waddle scored a 2-point try, and the NFL classified the celebration as illegal.

"Yahtzee"

Aside from that though he's great
Was listening to Sirius and they were saying he doesn't get any targets... which kinda tells the story, if he was worth a shit they would be trying to get him the ball... obviously.

I dont think I know who else they have actually.. is Wilson the guy that got the phat contract?

I just think the media ran with that after Tua shit on him, and it was the popular thing to do. For the most part, I read that players fucked with him. Only other guy I saw who had a problem with him publicly was Stills. There were anonymous players saying put Fitzpatrick in because Tua sucked, and people tried to trace it back to the HC, but that just was the popular sentiment. There as a reason that when McDaniel and Hill came in, they spent that whole off-season pumping him up. Because the coach who he had issues with was gone, but the players still didn't believe in him, and you saw that pop back up after he got the big contract and regressed again, and those two turned on him. What dude said in Indy who used to be on their team when they beat them is probably what was going on in the locker room. Imo, Flores bigger problem I would have is whether or not he understands the offensive side of the ball philosophically a lot like Saleh, but they said Saleh didn't even used to go into offensive meetings with the Jets, so that's another level of offensive incompetence.

Flores couldn't find a coordinator for his young QB and went through a turntable of hires. McDaniel, for all his flaws, induced several good seasons out of Tua.

Flores is the modern day Buddy Ryan. Great DC, horrible HC because he can't figure how to handle the offense.

Wilson and McBride. Wilson is way better. McBride is primary obviously.
It’s not even a conversation. In three games, MHJ has 4 catches for 73 yards and 0 TDs. Cody White has 3 TDs. Nailor has 5 catches for 52 yards and Bech has 5 catches for 48 yards and 1 TD. WTF do we need a receiver with 4 catches and 0 TD?
