My wife usually asks what movie I'm watching.

Regarding The Last of Us... is it similar in game play to a Red Dead or Witcher style game?
TLOU isn't as open world as Red Dead. It looks like TLOU2 is a little more open world but still not quite as open as RDR. In terms of quality they're both top notch and my two favorite games of all-time.

My son has just about every game on xbox... been fuckin around with Battlefield V... I suck at it.. So I just jump in a tank and fuck everybodies shit all up... Got pretty good at it....

I went to a BBQ last summer with my wife's family and there were all these cholo dudes we grew up with standing around bitching about their kids being gamers. Made me laugh that a bunch of grown up ex gang bangers were pissed their kids were inside playing video games all day.

My brother had a criminal record at like 13 and bitches that his 17 year old kid with straight As plays too many video games haha

Playing a game nowadays is like controlling a 30-hour movie. It's a legit cinematic experience. Crazy how impressive the graphics in games has gotten.

I just can't get into them. Looks tedious.

Got into Madden pretty heavily while in the military... alone with hearts, spades, dominoes, and every other time killing activity.

Once I got out I didn't really play much until a year or so ago my wife finally bought me a PS4. I had a PS3 that I barely used since it came out.

I used to play a few of the normal video games. A lot when I was a kid. I just don't care for the cinematic variety. They don't do anything for me.

Haven't played anything in years. Was gonna on a couple occasions, but these people all had Xboxes, and I'm not trying to adjust to those controllers. That's work, not entertainment.

So basically if it's more complicated than this, you can't deal with it?

I was a PlayStation guy. Never owned an xbox. Never cared for the controller when I was at an xbox person's place. So I just didn't bother with it. Video games just aren't that important.

Hell, Tekken (my favorite arcade game) basically lost me when they started spreading the buttons out.

are any of the consoles good for VR? Would like to set something up in my workout room but don't want to deal with a PC.

Would 100% recommend getting an Oculus Quest 128gb. Fully self contained unit, no computer or console required.

If you absolutely want a console I'd wait for a PS5 this fall, but that's gonna be spendy for sure.

And @Crow , man some of these games really suck you into the story and experience, it's fucking amazing.

If you have any VR places near you maybe drop in one day and see about playing a newer release like Alyx, or hell even Arizona Sunshine. The experience is just fucking crazy cool.

Steam Summer sale is on.. I grabbed Project Cars 2 for some VR racing, got a bundle with Budget Cuts 1 & 2.. game where you're a human getting replaced by machines and they go rogue trying to kill you lol.. I'll get into those once I finish Alyx.

Been getting deeper into Skyrim VR more and fuck me it's amazing.

Finally beat the champ in Thrill of the Fight two days ago and went full ham making sure I'd win, threw just under 800 power punches in 5 rounds and gd it I'm still sore haha

THIS effing chapter in Alyx... Getting chased around by a demigorgon looking MF'er that can't be harmed, it can't see but it HEARS you doing things like opening doors, if you accidentally inhale any of the gas cloud he puts off you cough and then you're fucked. You literally have to cover your mouth in real life lol..

The graphics are photorealistic in game and this shit is insanely tense.

Just finished Alyx. Holy fucking ending. Wow.

Some reality bending shit in that last chapter that made me a little queasy not gonna lie, lol . Like the haunted house at Disneyland.

Solid fan service with the extra bits and conclusion. Just.. A+++
