Game of Fucking Thrones *SPOILERS*

And another favorite of mine has died/executed. Littlefinger was my 1st favorite character in the show. I like the way they played it up a bit. Faint a little tension between the sisters, make it believable enough that once again Little Fingers little whispers were doing their jobs.

I had hope for a brief moment Danny wouldn't burn the city down. I guess when Jon couldn't show her the affection she wanted/needed the writing was on the wall, she seemed destined to burn the whole thing down. I guess she's just not good at sharing.

I'm expecting Bronn to have a nice little showdown with Tyrion this evening, as well as Sansa and Danny to have it out in some way shape or form.

Fully caught up and ready for the show.
 
Really... No big sequence to end the show. Just Jon stabbing Danny and then everyone goes home... Bran becomes king, Aryia becomes Columbus, Sansa becomes Queenn of the North and Jon walks into the woods...

I'll say I enjoyed the show, but I really don't think it was all that it was cracked up to be. It has been worth watching, but the ending was a bit anticlimactic.

Sure hope they dont do some sequel series about the travels of Aryia... not sure I can take those eyebrows for a whole new series..
 
If you haven’t seen the series finale, you’ll want to skip this one.

1. Fuck, the writing went downhill. The scene where Sam suggests giving everyone a voice was just so.... predictable. A clear attempt to write something funny by somebody who isn’t funny.
2. How does Grey Worm go from “we demand justice” to “sure, pick a king right now, on the spot. And, let’s let Tyrion speak after all” in the blink of a fucking eye?
3. I didn’t see Bran coming like that. Can’t lie. I’m mildly unimpressed with it. Bran’s whole supernatural plot line essentially evaporated and now, fuck it, he’s king.
4. Arya is definitely set up for a spinoff show. I’m going to watch it, I’m sure, but I’m already pissed off about it. That character belongs siolitary, angry, seeking vengeance.... and we get a live action Dora the Explorer. Can’t wait.
 
such a shame they shit the bed swith the final season... still a killer series overall.
 
Well, fuck. What a colossal letdown.

They really need to do the whole Dallas thing where Jon Snow wakes up and realizes season 8 was just a dream.

Where to start... I guess with how Jon got captured by the Unsullied in the first place. I mean, no body no case right? He told Arya to meet him outside the city so he clearly wasn't planning on sticking around. Are we supposed to believe that he went down and was like "yo Greyworm, I just shanked her crazy ass"? I'm assuming Jon said fuck the wall and went to live as a wildling but they way it was executed was lame. It would have been more in line with his character to decline the crown and ride off into the North. And don't get me started on Bran as a character. I guess he's supposed to be a super stoned Franklin Roosevelt now?

I don't see a sequel coming though... at least not for quite a few years. The prequel supposedly started filming a couple of weeks ago and HBO has so many other projects going right now I can't see them making the investment.
 
What they should have done is have Arya return to the House of Black and White. Now that’s a spinoff!

As for Jon, I took the ending as him doing just that. They might have had him smile or something as he rode past the wall to indicate that he’s at peace instead of suffering a penance but I did get the “he’s off with the free folk now” ending for him.

Why does Bran need a master of whispers if he can fucking see everything?

Bron’s fate was low-key satisfying, I thought.
 
I would have had Dany throw Jon in jail right off the bat. Then there could have been a coup involving Arya getting him out.
This whole last season basically sucked. I still watched and wasn't bored at least, I just think it could have been done a LOT better. Felt rushed. Oh well, was a great show otherwise.

Bran should have been the master of whisperers.
 
I actually would have liked Vary's to have survived.

He kind of had that "I'll be around as kings rise and fall" thing going on along with Tyrion.

I do like that they didn't involve Arya in the killing of Dany. Doing so would have ruined the arc they created for her with the Hound helping her realize that she wasn't some bad ass killer after all. Greyworm I'm conflicted over. I get where they went with the character with his loyalty to Daenerys and in response to Missandei's death but they were setting him up as being war weary leading up to the final episodes. I would have liked to see him lay down his sword so to speak once the city fell. It would have played well with my preferred ending for Jon. Speaking of which, as a Northerner wouldn't Sansa have jurisdiction over his fate anyway?

Last point and I can't believe I didn't mention it earlier... what did the point of Jon's lineage actually turn out to be? The ultimate secret of the series amounted to zero actual impact. He could have just as easily become disillusioned with Dany as a Stark bastard than as the rightful heir to the throne. So many storylines just thrown away.
 
I think the point of Jon’s lineage was push forward the “Mad Queen” story. Dany was completely unstoppable.... but wait! Here’s a guy with a claim that she has to recognize (unlike Gendry’s claim) and, guess what? The dragons fuckin’ like him too! Flimsy? Yes. What other explanation is there though?
 
This series deserved a fucked up ending. Should have had Litte Finger survive till the end and weasel his way into the crown.
 
That Seinfeld jail cell ending comp is taking off on the interwebs.
