Fuck You Uncle Rico

Then he lets Davante dictate who his OC will be. Weaksauce.

In AP's defense... it was like trying to choose a restaurant with your wife.

"Kingsbury sounds good?"

"No, too expensive!"

"How about Chip Kelly?"

"No, foods ok but I hate the drinks."

"*Sigh* Ok, fuck it. You choose."

"The kids want Chucky Cheese"

Our GM should obviously continue to select non-premium positions with our premium draft picks. We have no coaching stability, franchise stability, O & D consistency, etc. Gardner Minshew has a 2 year contract. This way we can all be happy when the blue chip LB plays well next year.

And the blue chip safety the next year
And the blue chip RG the year after that
And the blue chip FB the year after that

I swear I’d look a lot better in Mark’s money than he does. What a waste. Also if you have to wear that that says ICON you are anything but.

Systems tend to stay the same if the QB is doing well.

What you're saying has merit obviously but I'm also a firm believer that QBs either have it or they don't. Like all positions, you can prop up a lesser talent with enough support but that also tends to fall apart quicker too given all the moving parts necessary to make it work. It's just harder to do the scheme fit thing with a QB than other positions. The type of QB you need to be consistently competitive year in and out is the system.

All true.

Jim Plunkett is from another time, obviously. But he was a perfect fit for the Sid Gilman scheme and a lousy fit for the other two he was in.

Baker Mayfield was a disappointment in Cleveland. In a system that fits him, he's looking better.

Our two QBs prove a good part of your point -- a QB has it or he doesn't. Thing is, QBs do not tend to nearly as intelligent as the guys who play right in front of him. An intelligent QB can adapt faster to a new system. That/s in part, why I feel O'Connell gives us a better chance than the guy who started the last five games. How much better is an open question.

We've had lots of bad losses but never our QB picking his nose and eating it. Gotta cut a booger eater, at least ones that get caught on tv.
This team could be ran (run?) so much better…So much better
