Not that it's surefire correct but that is from Athletic/NY Times not fan speculation. He’s just the latest victim for the fans to shower blame on. Nobody has an idea of the inner workings of the team and how the Tom Brady dynamic fits into it. I definitely don’t think Tom is silent and not trying to do his part but, I’d imagine the perception of what he does is way overblown. People are grasping at straws in hopes that somehow he would be a magic elixir for a failed franchise. It’s not working year one therefore he is now supposed to be doing something he may not have ever wanted to do. Be more heavily involved than he wants to be. IMO he has 350 million reasons not to change up what he’s doing right now.
JSN might be a common denominator to Geno looking good and Darnold looking good. Darnold had Jefferson in Minny, too. JSN is a fucking stud.Darnold is like third in interceptions and their OL is pretty decent.
He also has DK and Lockett as well. Geno had no shortage of weapons. Sam at least has a few less to work with ATMJSN might be a common denominator to Geno looking good and Darnold looking good. Darnold had Jefferson in Minny, too. JSN is a fucking stud.
So, you would take Geno over Darnold?Could you imagine what Darnold would have looked like behind our OL ? And yes it can look worse than Geno.
Gruden was supposed to be that guy. Now it's Brady. Agreed, Mark is going to lean heavily on Brady. My guess is that Mark actually leans on Brady quite a bit for decisions. When he was broke, relatively speaking, the Raiders were his world but now he has the money to pursue other interests. I think he's settled into wanting the prestige of owning an NFL team without having to be bothered by any of the work necessary to make it successful on the field.

I don’t want either one of them to be honest. Never really did. I just hoped Geno would be able to hold the fort down until we got our guy in the draft. Geno would have been option 8 out of all the things we could have done this past offseason. Darnold would have been like 9-10.. I think if Darnold were here it would look just as bad if not worse. Darnold can’t handle pressure in his face and we seem to have a turnstile at both G positions and Center ATM.So, you would take Geno over Darnold?

Agree that Darnold would be failing as well. No QB is going to be successful here if we don't fix the OL.I don’t want either one of them to be honest. Never really did. Hehehe. And giving the fans the finger. Wonderful.a dummy QB
Davis is clueless so he farms out the decision making to people he thinks are smarter than himself. Do you see the problem with that scenario? My guess is that Mark actually leans on Brady quite a bit for decisions. I don't think the perception is overblown at all. Brady is a competitive guy with his reputation on the line to a degree.... He's not going to be part owner of a football team and then turn around and be hands off. He is going to want to turn this thing around, and he is going to want the credit for pulling it off. He’s just the latest victim for the fans to shower blame on. Brady’s roll is small imo. He’s just a figurehead.

We know he builds out the front office using the guaranteed-to-fail buddy system. We know he was handpicking the head coach until he got worked over by "his guy". Now, we're hearing he handpicked the OC, who was just fired. We know he was the voice that made sure we didn't draft a QB or sign an overpriced FA QB.... until Geno Smith arrived (still wtf...) We've also seen him in the coaches box with a headset on during a primetime game... until he got caught.... Just trust your eyes and it's pretty obvious he has his fingerprints on almost everything.
- Involved in building the front office... check
- Involved in hiring coaches.... check.
- Involved in roster building..... check.
- Interacting with coaches during games.... check.
All indications seem like he's trying to be Al Davis and have his hand in anything and everything related to football.... and like Al Davis towards the end.... he sucks at everything.
For all the heat Mark Davis gets about who his advisors are.... I think we should be asking who are Tom Brady's advisors? It's likely not Bob Kraft or Bill Belichick. Is it that herb, Jim Grey? Maybe this is what Amy Trask was alluding to. Grey's got the ear of both dummy owners and that might really be the nucleus of our biggest cancer.
He doesn't. This is just a classic "read between the lines; Imma psychologist" 1-800 post.Lol. And you know this how?
