Two things...

1) As I just said, Brady is not "running football operations in Las Vegas" - just a cursory look will tell you that. He wasn't even in the building when Klint was introduced as HC (for example) and he's too busy making pizza commercials to be running a team. His guy is running the team - Spytek. That's who he wanted in charge and Mark was happy to do it because he's always wanted help on the football end.

2) Remember when there was the same question about Gruden? "Oh he's been behind the scenes at every team with ESPN! We can't let him coach the Raiders!" Even Gruden tried to use that as a selling point - "I've been watching the NFL up close - I know how to win in today's league!" What happened with that? He barely got us to .500 one season.

Totally agree about point #1

There was at least one other minority owner in the audience when Kubiak was introduced at the PC.

Brady couldn’t be there? And he’s essentially running football operations? He’s the Wizard of Oz.

Funny, I was going to repost the story myself.

Florio has a real bug in his ass about Tom Brady and the Raiders, he's constantly pushing the 'Tom Brady shouldn't be an owner and broadcaster' narrative, now he's into the 'How much is Tom Brady involved' narrative.

I don't mind it to a degree as these stories makes Tom accountable for if/when things continue to not improve.
