Fuck You Graham Cracker Defense

Could really use Carter….

Jalen Carter is the Defensive Rookie of the Year

Overreaction or reality: Reality

What Carter has done through five games for the Eagles has been special. Carter was a game changer for the Eagles defense in Sunday's win over the Rams, finishing with two sacks, three pressures, and two quarterback hits. Carter is the third Eagles player to have 3.5-plus sacks in their first five career games, joining Corey Simon (4.0 in 2000) and Reggie White (4.5 in 1985).

Carter is tied for seventh in the NFL in pressures (23), leading all defensive tackles. His pressure rate of 17.8% is also seventh in the NFL (minimum 100 pass rushing snaps) and leads all NFL defensive tackles. He's also tied for third amongst all defensive tackles in sacks, trailing only Chris Jones and Ed Oliver.

I’m not convinced that defense has turned the corner….

In terms of value, #Raiders are getting more out of their defense than their offense based on what they’ve spent on both sides of the ball.

Soooo... is it fair to say that Patrick Graham is doing.. a good job? Raiders are 30th in defensive spending but are 14th in yards/game and 22nd in scoring... could be worse...

I thought Adam Butler played well in Q4 when we clamped down on Dillon. @Langlier or @TheNextStep
Were you able to see that? The announcers were just useless trying to identify tacklers
Saw him a bit. Saw Nichols be a little more active too. Was trying to keep an eye on the DE across from Maxx most of the night (mostly Tyree, then koonce until he got hurt, rochell got a decent number of snaps then). The run snaps for the pack were often a muddle from my POV so was having to look at the camera replay to tell the details.

Peters tackling is becoming a problem. If im the opposing team, i start to exploit that.

LBs run hot and cold but arent the problem. Impact is low however.

DL is Maxx and a bunch of guys. We get occasional splash plays from that bunch of guys. But no consistency.

Epps and Moehrig are up and down. We have switched to Epps playing deep man more than Moe, and that seems effective.

Outside of Peters we have a lot of scrappy CBs. Hall and Amik played well. Hobbs and Bennett have played well when healthy. Its hard to call this group a strength. Just less of a weakness.

Good.

Every time there has been a world war, Army football has won a national title.
I think WW with nukes hits different

Did Slo Mo play last night? I do t remember seeing his useless ass out there.

He did. Wasnt a factor but mostly because theyd target where the safety help wasnt. He played to his responsibilities. Epps was the single deep safety when we went with that look. Moe was covering a TE in man concepts or assisting in zone. Think he had a pbu against the te one of the few times they targeted the te

Koonce and Moehrig have played better this year. You can see Koonce bringing pressure. I continue to think Maxx would benefit from playing less snaps, but it's a good sign that both these guys are contributing. The corner group is interesting. Amik did ok last night other than that big completion. And honestly, the worst of the bunch has been Peters.

The two LBs have had some good games and then bad ones, but they've actually played better than I thought. D has been better.

The O on the other hand is a hot mess.
