Food & Drink thread

I actually made them a month or so ago for me and my boys. I had only made them once before for them and they didn’t like them: so I figured som 7-8 years later their taste would have changed a bit. Nope was a fail again. All good though I ate plenty of em
Well, guess stick with pulled pork.

Ive never tried but probably will be fine. Ground turkey has a funky texture to it but less fat and a healthier option.
Got no problem with ground pork but it clumps if you don't stay with it while you're cooking it. At my Mom's all they use is ground turkey. It's ok for tacos. Should be fine for sloppy Joe's.

I tried it at one point when the kids were younger. Daughter didn't like. I just used that stupid can to make them. Simple week night dinner. But no dice.

Yeah ground beef is pretty high. Costco has that beef in a little cube. 3 1/3 pounds for 3 in the package is like 25 bucks. Usually freeze 2 of them.

Last week tri tip 2 to a pack was around $40. But try going to the regular grocery. Over $30 on sale for just 1. Just not trying to buy too much thst I'm freezing a bunch of stuff.

So chicken was on sale so I'm BBQ chicken leg quarters and a couple bone in breasts.

Got little chilis too yesterday so home made salsa and my potato salad.

I buy whole packers of ny strip and cut my own steaks. Vacuum seal them and freezer. Saves a couple or three bucks a pound.

I just noticed we had a Cluver’s around my area. I’ve seen it talked about on occasion from people in the Midwest. Is it decent food? Or is it just some Midwest hype about an okay place to grab some grub.

Pretty good. Much better than your nationwide burger places. I like their fish and chips too. Their custard concrete mixers are good also.

185 would be my ideal weight. Been there a couple times as an adult but it’s hard to be that disciplined.

I've dropped over 25 lbs since July 4th which was the last time I drank alcohol. I'm under 210 now which I haven't been in years.. Eating really clean. Greek yogurt with fruit, eggs, avocado and fish and chicken. Minimal carbs and no sugars. Still doing the boxing training 3x a week plus walking on off days, but the drinking and eating pasta and udon noodles 3-4x a week was countering any gains I was making in the gym. Don't have the six pack quite yet but the abs are defined. Energy level is great. Truthfully don't miss the alcohol and waking up feeling like crap the next morning.

Nice! I've mostly quit alcohol, have been at a minimum avoiding hangover type drinking.
Doing all my strength training with X3 (heavy duty band system) and BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) which allows me to lift hard and build muscle without hurting my shoulder and other joints. Yoga 1-2 times a week + walking, rucking, and mountain biking. I'm about 195 now but want to be 185.
