Food & Drink thread

I feel your pain homie. I bought a semi nice set a couple of years ago and they've already jacked them up. I actually have a stash of nice random kitchen stuff that I hide in the garage lol.
I need a safe for my chefs knife.

What are people doing to fuck up your fancy knives?

I've got one knife that may be as old as me, for all I know. Been dragged through the sharpener so many times, it damn near looks like a flat ice pick. Cuts about as well as the others, seems to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I bet you cut spuds in your hand and let them drop directly in the pot.

Am I right?

Basically you should wash it, dry it, and put it away as soon as you are done with it. If you put it on the counter (I have very hard surface counter tops) you are dulling the edge, if you put it in the dishwasher or on a metal dishrack you are dulling it. This leads to more re-sharpening and reducing the life of the knife but the biggest thing is I need to sharpen it more because of dumbfucks who won't fucking listen. lol
Now, if you are an absolute egregious dipshit, you cut stuff on the hard counter surface directly. It's happened and it's horror to me. Lucky they didn't get stabbed with it!

Naw. Not anymore. If I'm cutting potatoes, I'm probably cutting carrots and mushrooms, too. I gotta sit down for all that.

Shrimp and grits for supper tonight. Breakfast for supper but the classics are classics for a reason.

Wife is pretty particular about her grits she orders some stone ground stuff from down south and nothing else will do.
I have to admit they are good.

You throw some cheddar in those grits?
