Food & Drink thread

The Cracker Barrel publicity stunt must have worked. I ended up having dinner there yesterday for the first time in a decade or more, I think.

This should have been obvious, but don't order the steak there. Wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't the thing to order at this type of establishment.

The grilled skrimps were good, though.

Someone buys you a meal and of course you order the steak. You're such a gold digging ho.

Another reason I should have known better: Steak & shrimp with two sides was $22.

The other entrees were like $17, so it was whatever.

$5 for a 12oz can of Blue Moon, and the bastards didn't even have orange slices. Obscene.

My Mom wanted to go Cracker Barrel for breakfast a couple of weeks ago.
Never again.

They serve breakfast all day. Surely they get enough practice to do it well. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It would probably taste like crab no? I’d be up for it.

Maybe. Crab and lobster don't really taste alike, so this thing might taste like something else entirely. Looks like a shellfish to me, though. I'd have to give a chance.

They are pretty similar IMO.

would you say King Crab is similar to Lobster?
Now we're getting into the area of specifics where my memory is completely vacant trying to think that far back. I can't remember the last time I actually had king crab. Quarter century ago, maybe longer.

it’s meatier like lobster. Dungeness crab has like a totally different texture.

I should be able to try the Dungeness crab next week. We're going on a cruise up Alaska. Juneau apparently has a restaurant where the crab is in high demand for all visitors.
