Favre pushing to get Moss ??

Did a li'l bit of research to get to the middle of this mess...........

The 'Internet Rumor' that Moss could be had for a 3rd rounder (which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard) apparently was conceived on November 29 at approx. 1 a.m. by a drunk and deranged packer fan...

Probably going to get bashed for this but what the hell,

I've been thinking that since Ted Thompson is such a big trader in the draft that it is very probably that we will have multiple 3rd round picks. What would do you guys think of TT using one of those 3rd round picks, if we had one, to get Randy Moss. His play as of late doesn't warrant a 1st round pick and probalby not even a 2nd round pick

The guy needs a change of scenery and what this offenese needs is a vertical threat. I don't think he's the cancer everyone thinks he is and when he is one his game he is unstoppable.

I would think he would love to play in GB and get to play against the vikings twice a year as well. If we got a stud RB (Lynch perhaps) then can you imagine the troulbe a defense would have with our offense. Who would you double cover with Moss, Jennings and Driver and in the backfield Green/Lynch.

Thoughts?

Now a more accurate and interesting article makes 2 interesting revalations.

First Moss and Favre once shared the same agent, Bus Cook... this same Bus Cook who is stirring the pot to try and get Moss to GB. Maybe Bus Cook is trying to get Moss back as a client, which might explain why the hell he is making so much noise about bringing Moss to GB.

Second (which isn't too much of a surprise) is that several teams have been contacted about trading for Moss. This is a good thing for us b/c it just might raise the stakes enough to get a 1st rounder back for Moss. For what it's worth, I still don't think any team is going to cough up that much... but who knows........

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The source said that among other things, Favre is in favor of trading for disgruntled Oakland receiver Randy Moss. Favre and Moss formerly shared the same agent, Bus Cook, and they know, like and respect each other. The Raiders have had preliminary trade talks with several teams, and the Packers presumably at least have inquired about him. However, whether Oakland is willing to deal Moss at a price that's palatable to Thompson is a major question.
