***Draft Day 1 - 2024*** (Don't post "spoilers" in this thread)

Cousins has to have remorse

He wouldn’t have signed in March if he asks told “please sign with us. Yet we are drafting your replacement in the top 10”

Regardless of money, Cousins not feeling good.

But he’s so good at getting overpaid, in two years he will be collecting another huge paycheck for another team. lol
NFL Radio ripping Atlanta.

Cousins hasn’t taken a snap and Atl passed on Latu, who they could have gotten and traded down, and drafted his replacement. Penix, at age 24, is being wasted if he doesn’t play. He’s not a green 21 year old. QB controversy by W8. Lol

And Atlanta supposedly has the worst pass rush in the league!

Latu may be the best player but the medical is scary. Verse and Turner are no slouches. Pick one of them
Latu is a 4-3 hand-in-dirt Edge piece; Turner and Verse are 3-4 stand up Edge pieces. Not the same.

But why? The Falcons were the only team talking about paying him like that. The Vikings wanted him back but at the right price, but KOC has pretty much confirmed that he's had to veto several QB picks his first couple of years there. They would have done the same thing had he stayed there. I don't remember anyone else seriously being involved. People are talking about Kirk like he's 28 and coming off deep playoff runs. He'll be 36 on opening night coming off of an Achilles tear late in the season. He's revered by the Shanahan tree, but he's also nearly at the end of his career by every metric except the one obvious outlier. Falcons never seemed likely to be banking on him past two years.

Not banking on him for this contract? Really? lol

Kirk Cousins contract: Four years, $180 million

Cousins signed the biggest deal of free agency this year with a four year, $180 million contract with $100 million guaranteed.

The contract also includes a no-trade clause and he'll earn $62.5 million in 2024 alone

No trade clause!

Cousins could pull a Carr and force Atl to cut him.

:lmao:

I said they're not banking on him past two years. That was always how it should have been viewed.

BTW, in addition to wishing for Bowers to blow up, other Day 1 wishes:
  1. Crosby to destroy Alt
  2. Hobbs to break Worthy
  3. Maye to bust

Harbaugh selected Alt bc he fears for Herberts life facing Maxx & Wilkins and company. Smart man bc our DL is going to be dangerous. Pressure up the middle is going take Maxx to the next level (which is game breaker.) Imagine a world where Tyree Wilson lives up to his potential w Koonce is ascending etc. Some solid rotational guys too.

Not shocked the AFC West teams are stocking up on OL.

Alt is gonna have a tough time getting settled in.

A fuck you to self-defeating Buff.

Bennett, gonna need your track shoes, along with speed at S and a pass rush.
