***Draft Day 1 - 2024*** (Don't post "spoilers" in this thread)

They are higher on Aiden than the fans are. AP has been saying it all offseason. If Aiden falters Gardener will get his chance.

I think a project QB is coming also.

I just don't see a scenario where flabby AO'C is starting when the season starts. If he does then it means that Minshew is on the IR.

I don't think stocking your QB room is ever a bad move. Cousins is old but good enough to keep Atlanta out of prime QB prospect contention for the next couple of years. We just saw how apparently difficult it is to move up for a QB and now Atlanta has their QBOTF and fully cadre of draft picks for the foreseeable future.
They might as well draft Rattler in the 2nd round... gotta make sure it's fully stocked.

That’s b/c you’re behind a computer and not at OTA and training camp. Dah!

If Telesco made any calls and no trade it’s because the price wasn’t worth the value.
He did the right thing.

He’s a back up on every team in the NFL. An exceptional back up(one of the top 5 back ups in the league), and only the coping mechanism of not getting our dream QB is driving anyone to pretend he’s a genuine starter.

This wasn't the plan. He was supposed to be the bridge starter. Spinning it as anything else is insanity.

Jack Jones said Daniels did not want to go to the Commodores. Then dude, put your foot down and say no.

Shortly after the news broke, Jones noticed Daniels’ body language and suggested he wasn’t happy with the landing spot.

“I know that look he ain’t wanna go there,” Jones wrote in an April 25 X post.

He doesn't have an NFL royalty father to cover him. Caleb gave indications of doing that to get to Washington, and people about had a shitfit. So it is what it is. Only thing he could do is fuck his career up and sit out and reenter the draft, which would be dumb.

The more I think about it, the less sense it makes.

Why would the Falcons, barely six weeks after committing $100 million to Kirk Cousins, use the eighth overall pick on a quarterback?

The goal was, or at least it was supposed to be, trying to win a championship with Cousins. Using the eighth overall pick on his replacement does nothing to achieve that goal.

Said by the Viking fan who constantly shitted on Kirk not being good enough and who had wanted them to move off of him, lol. Had he stayed in Minnesota, this is what they were doing to. In fact, it's what they tried to do the last year Zimmer and Spielman were there.

The Rattler pick makes sense now. He was a former #1 guy. I hate the shit about his attitude and he seems like a punk, but you take the swing.

One can debate the merits of Penix to the Birds in terms of use of cap resources and outcome in the football field. Listening to the Birds’ HC on the radio, I realized one thing it is hard to debate—it was a great decision for his job security.

Looking at the B/R big board...

Best Day 1 values:
1. Terrion Arnold, DET (+13)
2. Quinyon Mitchell, PHI (+12)
2. Brock Bowers, LVR (+11)

Worst Day 1 values:
1. Michael Penix, ATL (-81)
2. Bo Nix, DEN (-49)
3. Xavier Legette, CAR (-39)
B/R big board don't know shit.

Cousins has to have remorse

He wouldn’t have signed in March if he asks told “please sign with us. Yet we are drafting your replacement in the top 10”

Regardless of money, Cousins not feeling good.

But he’s so good at getting overpaid, in two years he will be collecting another huge paycheck for another team. lol

From recent reports I read, he's matured since then so will see.

I’m sure he’s fine with it. He’s guaranteed like 100 million and can go sign another contract for another 100 million more in 2 years.

He's not good enough and doesn't have the history with the organization to not be fine with it anyway.
