Dominic Rhodes is who I'm talking about :D

What do you guys think sbout DR for a guy that can get outside and catch some passes... play that Reggie Bush spot in this offense?

He's small, I think only about 200 lbs, but he runs hard and has some quicks and shake.

I don't really see anyone else out there.

Dominick Davis? whos that?

Dominick Williams is still under contract with the texans and im not excited enough to look into either a trade or the money he would command in FA.

NFL serius radio was speculating yesterday (Pat Kirwen?) that he could be headed to Denver.....

Rhoades isn't coming here he wants to be a starter and paid (and I am not sure he is a Starter) He works well with another back like Edge or Addai, but Dominic Davis may shake loose in Houston? He would be a nice complement to Jordon.....

I think Rhodes may go looking for #1 money, but I'd like to know who is gonna give it to him. The Colts had him for a while, and he was never a serious threat to take over.

Love his all around game, receiving ability, and ability to produce without being 'the man', however. By fans anyway, I think he's mildly underated. He's not a special back, but he's good.

If Jordan is gone, and we don't walk away with AD or Marshawn, I think he makes a ton of sense as part of a RBBC here.

if all that happened at once, we're too dumb to sign a legit rb anyways.

I agree... Rhodes has the little bit of wiggle that none of our other backs currently possess... Raven fans seem to think they'll make a substantial run at him and draft a big complementary back... Jamal Lewis is due a sizable roster bonus and releasing him will free up over $8 mill in cap space which they apparently really need... I'd personally be more than happy to snap Lewis up once he's let go...

Ooof, not me. I think Jamal is damaged goods. Have had him on a fantasy team the last two years, so watched a decent amount of games.

Not sure if it was the 2,000 yard season, or jail, but I don't think he's the same guy.

As a Change of Pace back behind Jordon? Someone that could pound a few in from the 3yd line once in a while and be a short yartage back. I would be cool with Jamal.

We're better off drafting Lorenzo Booker in the 3rd round and really using him like Reggie Bush considering he has a similar game to Bush. If you guys haven't seen Booker play, he is very similar to Warrick Dunn. Very quick and very good hands.

I'd be fine with Booker as a COP back but with Jordan's injury concern, I'm not sure I'd want Fargas to carry the load. Why not take Michael Bush in the second and have Fargas as the COP back.

Dom Rhodes is nothing special. hes a good backup who can be the guy in short bursts but doesnt bring anything to the table that guys we currently have dont. H'es a smaller version slower version of LJ.

I certainly don't think Rhodes is a #1 and I can't imagine anyone would pay him like one, although stranger things have happened, but he's got some things that none of our other backs do... like vision, recieving skills, elusivness and balance.

I agree with Mass that he is somewhat underrated. Watching the Colts postseason, I was really impressed with how hard he runs. He came up with some critical plays and hard fought first downs... ran like a bull on Chicago. He can play that Charlie Garner role for us.

Also agree with Mass that something's missing with Jamal Lewis. He hits the hole like Dillon these days, and I don't think that'll fly behind this line. IMO he's the classic tease at this point. Still young, and the fan base of the team that gets him will be starry eyed thinking of those 2000 yards and hard running rookie campaigns, but I don't believe he has anymore performances like that left in the tank.

I think he's just a decent back nothing special....good WR out of the backfield but really never turns it into a HUGE gain. Not the type of back that is going to juke an LB or DB out of his socks and he's definately not a full time starting back in my eyes. He's not a threat to take it to the house and that is something we have been missing since Nap and Charlie. I would rather have a Michael Pittman, Michael Turner or a Corral Buckhalter spelling LJ if that were the case.

I still think we need a starting RB who will strike fear in a defense with LJ coming off the pine to grind the clock and get the tough yardage. Kind of like what they did with Dillon in NE last year and what we did with Wheatley back in the day.

While I'm not claiming him to be the force he was in the 2,000 yard season, I think the recent revelation that Lewis played the entire year with bone spurs on his ankle that required him to take shots to numb the ankle before every game explains some of the hesitation on his part... he still managed 1,100 yards under the circumstances... Now that he's had the spurs surgically cleaned out and can put in the work that allows him to stay in the 240-245 pound range, he should be more similar to the JL of old... I wouldn't use him as a 350 carry a year guy anymore, but he has 3-4 more good years as a power back in him ala Jerome Bettis if paired with a change of pace back... JMO though...

Why not this guy?
