from other teams announced today

Jets - Bobby Hamilton
Houston - Moulds and Payne
Cin - Simmons

many others but some of the bigger ones. feel free to add

IF we dump Moss I would look at Moulds for cheap.

Hey man, Didnt we trade Hamilton? Or did we cut him? Didnt we get some sorta pick for him or was that used up last draft?

Some of you will love this. Not me but there are some of you haters out there.

Raiders | Raiders might lose Jordan
Thu, 1 Mar 2007 00:24:55 -0800

Steve Corkran, of the Contra Costa Times, reporting for the Sporting News, reports it's still possible the Oakland Raiders won't pay starting RB LaMont Jordan the roster bonus he is due in the coming weeks.

I'm still not sure what would happen if Curry decides not to sign a contract extension. Would we pay a $5 million roster bonus to a guy that only has 1 year left on his contract. $6.5 million is a ton of money to pay a guy who might wind up as the slot receiver this year when the season starts.

Verba was cut from the Lions

Brad Johnson's out in Minny

Jamal Lewis was waived

Stokley in Indy is reportedly on the chopping block

Put me in the "utterly shocked" category when it comes to the Brian Simmons release. Sure, he's battled nagging injuries throughout his career but he's been a vocal leader on that team, plays a position that Cincy is very weak at right now with Pollack's neck injury and Thurman's suspension, and he keeps his nose clean off the field. WTF is Cincy thinking?

Trade Jordan and a 4th to BUF for McGahee.

I'm down with that, but only because I don't place much value on Jordan.

NcGahee is going to want big big money next year, and the folks in Buffalo are happy to see him go. in teh mdst of rebuilding, I think we have to look to bring in better people.

We can forget about getting a discount, he has mouths to feed. The guy has illegitimate kids scattered all over the east coast.

We cant lose both Moss and Jordan

We get one pick in rd 1 worthy a crap, rds 2 and on should be OL

We'll be down a QB, WR and RB

I dont see how this is improvement do you?

Well, which would you rather have: Rashard Lee, low salary, average skills and good hands wanting to make a name for himself, or LaMont Jordan, big contract, average skills and hands cruising to another payday? I think the answer is simple: draft Adrian Peterson.

Depends who we get in free agency.

Jeff Garcia fakes the handoff to Travis Henry and throws deep to Calvin Johnson!

Moss, Lamont and Simms are all overpaid. Thay all dont seem to be part of the plan for the future either. Porter will be gone after next season too. I think the Raiders will take CJ or AP becasue of this. We could trade down and select whoever falls. We need player who can contribute next season and help get this offense rebuilt. I think that Kiffin will coach up Walter and Draft Stanton or Troy Smith to groom. Garcia or Plummer will compete for the starting job with Walter.

There will be viable options for a WR and a RB with our first three picks:
AP, Lynch, M.Bush, B.Leonard(who im starting to think might be a HB)
CJ, Bowe, Meachum, Jarrett, Ginn, Rice, Smith etc (at least 5 more)

If we can get some youth and excitement at the skill postion it will help out who ever the QB is. It would be nice to see Walter have some playmakers around him and a decent system to run. Give the guy a tight end and a running game to check down to and our defense wont be sucking wind getting ran on all day.

I also heard for 7 million Deilman would move to Oakland. Im all for it.

1. Adrian Peterson
2. Joe Staley/Sears/Blaylock/Brown etc (LT or G depending on free agency)
2. Brian Leonard (for Moss)
3. Z.Miller
3. Steve Smith (for woodson)
4. K.Young
BPA

opening day line-up

Walter, Garcia
Adrian Peterson, Fargas, Lee
Brian Leonard
Porter, Curry, S.Rice, Gabriel, Morant
Z.Miller, Bruener, Madsen
J.Staley, McQ/Boothe, Grove/Young, Deilman, Gallery

worst comes to worse we draft Brian Brohm or Colt Brenning next year or John David Booty !!!
...Weed pipe dream #4700

I am going to go out on a limb here but I think the O-line will be much improved this year. I place the blame on the hof coaching staff for the shit they went through last season. Still need a good balanced TE though.

I dunno whats funnier. aquiring Jeff Garcia and Henry...

or Garcia throwing DEEP to Calvin Johnson

TEN smartly locked up Henry long-term.

Antonio Bryant cut axed after 1 season across the bay.

Tommy Kelly-DL-Raiders Mar. 1 - 7:24 pm et

Raiders extended a one-year, $1.35 million tender to DL Tommy Kelly.

Apparently he's already under contract. Kelly is a candidate to take over for Tyler Brayton and start opposite Derrick Burgess in 2007. His 6-5/300-pound body would be a load coming off the right defensive end.

LaMont Jordan-RB-Raiders Mar. 1 - 7:19 pm et

The Raiders are speaking to LaMont Jordan about a restructured deal.

Jordan has a $4.75 million roster bonus coming up in March. Oakland is expected to add backfield talent in the draft or possibly free agency whether or not Jordan takes a pay cut or spreads the bonus around.
