]Daunte Culpepper finally has his wish.

FOXSports.com has learned the Vikings and Dolphins have agreed on a trade, with Miami sending a second-round pick to the Vikings in exchange for the Pro Bowl quarterback.
The trade is contingent upon Culpepper passing a physical, and takes Miami out of the running for free-agent quarterback Drew Brees who also agreed to terms with the Saints on Tuesday in a six-year deal.

Culpepper was a three-time Pro Bowl selection for Minnesota but played poorly last season before tearing three ligaments in his right knee in a game Oct. 30. He has been at odds with the Vikings over his 10-year, $102 million contract and wants to be traded.

This is a bad move for Miami.

Miami is better served going after Brees or drafting a QB like a Cutler.

There are many reasons why I think it's a bad move.

-- Daunte may never play again with the knee surgeries.
-- Daunte is a very sensitive individual who does not take tough love well. Saban is a hardass and I just don't think that's for Daunte. One of the reasons why Daunte wanted out was because Brad Childress, the new Vikings coach, was not going to coddle him the way Denny and Mike Tice did. Daunte does not handle criticism well.
-- Play great defense on Daunte and Daunte will implode easily. Belichick will easily find a way to get Daunte of his game and you better believe Belichick's protege, Eric Magini will do the same.
-- Daunte gets thrown off easily by being booed on the road.
-- His makeup as a QB is a huge question mark. He posts great numbers, but is he a winning QB.

This is a huge risk for the Dolphins. Nick Saban wants guys mentally tough so why in the world did he made a move to get Daunte is beyond me. Daunte does not fit the attributes that Saban want in a QB. Nick has done everything right, but this is something that he screwed up.

If Nick can somehow change Daunte, then he is really God. I don't see it.

I hate the Jets and the Patriots. I was hoping Miami would make a run to get a legitimate QB, but Daunte was not the one. Now he will make Jets and Patriots fans even more unhappy.

Oh and I hope Daunte sucks in Miami.

Drew really wanted that money to go to New Orleans, eh.

I would have stayed in Miami for less money if I was Bree. Not only do I get paid well, but I get to play for a coach who knows how to win and play for a team that is about to be very good till Daunte came along.

Don't you mean he'll make Jets and Pats fans happy? :p

Is this a sink or swim season for Culpepper? :D
