Would you move down from our spot... I like peterson but the out of the top 5 teams only Cle is a threat to take him other then us. Houston would take him at 6 im pretty sure.

The top 5 right now are pretty clear in my eyes

Quinn
Thomas
Peterson
Branch
Johnson

I'd be happy with any one of the motherfuckers.

so dropping a couple spots... would it be worth it? or are these guys not as close as i think?

btw my title no longer applies... i had us trading down with TB and Minn
(TB moving up for Branch. Minn for Johnson.)

Somebody is going to make a run at Michael Turner. I'm hoping its Houston. Say they're able to get him with their 2nd round pick then that takes them out of the AP derby and possibly puts them in play to move up for Joe Thomas.

2 things:

1. It gets beaten into our heads every year, but the Raiders rarely trade down.

2. Long time between now and late April. At least one of these guys is going to drop down, and someone is going to rise fast.

The first guy I can think of that could rise the charts is Jamarcus Russell.

I re-read your first post. To answer your question, if Quinn is gone, yeah, I'd trade down.

Then again, I'd say that pretty mcuh every year.

If Warrick Dunn gets cut a logical destination for him is Houston. They use the same blocking scheme.

By the time the draft rolls around we might be the only team in the top 10 with a dire need for a RB (I'm assuming Jordan gets canned because of a $4.75 million roster bonus).

Whatever we do, especially if we draft one of the RB's, we need to get Brian Leonard in here to open holes up for these guys. Did anyone see the job he did last night blocking for Rice?

I'll bet dollars to donuts (lemon filled, please) that Houston won't draft a RB in Rd1. "It's the system, stupid!", same as in Denver. I wouldn't worry about them at all.

Would I trade down? Hell yes. Especially if Quinn is available. The value of our pick doubles if the top rated QB is available.

Drop down a little. Grab Alan Branch. Use our two 2nd round picks on guys like Kenny Irons or Michael Bush or LaMarr Woodley or Zach Miller or Greg Olsen or...well, you get the idea.

What he said.

Yup and even if Petersen is gone, I have no problem with Marshawn Lynch whatsoever. In fact, in many respects I prefer Lynch. He reminds me of LT and the fact that he's apparently a "Raider Fan" is most appealing for me. Kirk Morrison anyone?

Lynch & Zach Miller for our first two picks? I'd hit that.

Throw Portis into the mix for the Texans. The Skins are minus a 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounder. Portis of course has played in Kubiak's system.

They have Betts, Portis and Duckett. Somebody has to go. Betts and Portis is a giant waste of cash. But a third round pick for Duckett who they never use says it all.

The Duckett trade was the most illogical trade of the season. There was no pressing reason for the Skins to make that trade. I'm really sick of seeing the Broncos benefit from the stupidity of the Skin's front office year after year.

You know why they did that. They didnt want Philly to get him! what a dumb ass move. They dont give a shit about the NFL draft. They would overpay Archuleta and sit him all year then try to develop their own talent.
