Free agent G Cooper Carlisle is expected to visit the Raiders.

The meeting could take place this week. Oakland is exploring zone blocking under new coach Lane Kiffin, and Carlisle has experience in it.

DO IT! DOOOOOOO IT!!!!

Then we could use our 2nd and 3rd round picks on other positions, guilt free.

I hope he doesn't leave town without at least a contract offer. He's a starter, knows the system and comes from a hated divisional rival. I'd feel a lot better if we're able to sign him.

If he tries to leave the office without agreeing to a contract, Al should dive at his knees.

This signing would be just like are other signing's, cheap and smart. Minus Alvis Whitted that i dont get...

Alvis Whitted is like the proverbial cockroach in a nuclear holocaust. Don't know how he does it. Even if we draft CJ, Jarrett and Steve Smith, that fugger will somehow find his way onto the roster. How come no one picks up our tired, our weak, our huddled masses?

I think he inhereted James Jett's locker, lined with incriminating Al Davis Tijuana-bender photos.

Seriously i dont mind him being on the team, but why is he on the damn field so much when other young WR's with 100000% more upside should be playing.

Carlisle talking to Texans

Free-agent guard Cooper Carlisle arrived in Houston to meet with the Texans and head coach Gary Kubiak, formerly the Broncos' offensive coordinator.

Carlisle is expected to fly to Oakland tonight for a visit with the Raiders.

Carlisle has visited Seattle and Tampa Bay. The Broncos have expressed interest in bringing back Carlisle, who was a starter for them the past two seasons.

Prediciting the Signing announcement - tomorrow 11:00 AM

And in typical fashion, he'll sign with Houston before arriving in Oakland.

Doesn't sound that promising, initial reports had us as the front runners

Free-agent guard Cooper Carlisle will likely decide his future in the coming days. He flew to Oakland on Wednesday night after visiting with Houston.

Well at least he made it out of Houston. Now he'll take his offers back to the Donks and see if they'll match. I hope the boys put a good offer together that will make the donks pony up some serious unavailable jack to keep him. Bring on the Denver Salary cap fallout / player purge of 2008 - 2010!

Carlisle to Shanny: ...Raiders offered 1.5 mil...can you come up with $1.51?

Shanny: Done.

Carlisle: Done.

Next.

That's probably it in a nut shell. He would have been a very good signing. Ratboy will over pay before he'd let Al steal him away. Probably one of those "let's pick his brains" visits.
