COMPLETELY non-political COMPLETELY random thoughts

I left Florida when my wife told me she was pregnant. I couldn’t afford to put her on my insurance so we used the government and then moved. I had insurance, but she didn’t and she worked full time right up until the day she gave birth. We tried doing it the right way, but it wasn’t to be. We left Florida, tried Texas (which sucked) and settled in Maryland. I’m not one of those teachers who complains about how much we make. I make enough to own a house in Maryland, let my son play hockey, and my wife has a job that doesn’t pay well, but she loves her job. I have great benefits and a solid retirement plan. I can’t complain.

My son played competitive travel hockey here in Florida. That was over 25 years ago. I have a few parents in my boxing gym whose kids play now. I can't believe how much skates and equipment are now. $800-1000 for skates. GTFOH I was bitching when he wanted the carbon fiber sticks for $100 back in the day lol. This doesn't even include team, travel and tournament fees.

Youth sports are out of control. I deal with the aftermath in collegiate athletics. Spoiled kids and helicopter parents.

Good. The French owe us for saving their snails in two World Wars.

Yeah, it's not like those fucks ever helped us with any war.

They finally got it right at Yorktown after blowing surefire wins at Newport and Savannah. Even then, Washington warned them about the British escaping across the river since he pulled off that maneuver at Long Island. The French laughed it off. Fortunately, a providential wind scattered the British boats and ruined Cornwallis' plans.

Excuse.

A new study from the University of Washington suggests that the San Andreas Fault has reached its highest stress level in the last 1,000 years and could be due for "the big one" in the near future.
