Holy shit I can't handle my booze anymore. Wife and I went out on a 'date' day and night for the first since the kid was born and the grandparents took care of him overnight. We knew we wanted to go a little wild and have a bunch of drinks, a nice supper, gamble, etc. and the hotel had two nice bars so we didn't have to worry about driving or getting a cab or anything. Anyways, now I'm working on a two day hangover and wondering what the hell happened... especially when I only drank beer... although I did drink a lot of beer. Kind of glad I don't do that very often since the wife and I are pretty boring most of the time.

Yep I haven’t drank in nearly 20 years. Might try a sip or two if the wife insists that her fruity drink “tastes great”. I don’t miss drinking one bit. To be fair though I’ve never been able to drink beer as it just doesn’t sit well in my stomach and I always got sick before I got drunk. I could always handle my liquor but I could never stop until it was way too late…. That shit would hit me like a ton of bricks and I would go from fine to stupid in the span of a sip.

Drank heavily in my late teens. Had a few nights in my 20s. Barely anything into my 30s and 40s. Lightweight now. Prefer alternatives

I drank a lot of beer from my 20s to my 50s. My metabolism allowed it. Not so much anymore. I can't drink more than 2 or 3 beers before I'm full.

Now Bourbon and Scotch are a whole other thing. ;)

Save time by going straight to a little Jack Daniels Single Barrel and/or Talisker.

What happened is you got old friend... there are all different levels of old so don't worry, it's not over yet

Last time I drank was Jan 26 2003.. actually that’s a tad bit of a lie.. had a friend finally finish up his masters after like 8 years sitting on it.. I had like 2-3 shots in 2004 for that one.

But ya that Super Bowl was basically the end for me. I had to do a shot of Jack every time the Raiders had a TO, got sacked or got scored against 1 for FG, TO and Sack and 2 for TD. It wasn’t a fun night and by the 3rd QTR I had shots lined up waiting.
