Colts pregame - nothing witty after the last couple weeks

Baldy for the win.

He said something that doesn’t feel true but may in fact be true. “September is the new August”. Quite a few teams have looked rough early on and pulled it together in October and November. Does that mean we will do it? Absolutely not but we could at minimum become a more competitively balanced team that gives some hope for next year. Thats all I think we can ask for and when this year started with Pete all I expected.

We could turn things around, not to be legit contenders but to be an average NFL team. What's required:
1. Run game working. I don't expect what we saw against the Bears every week but we should be able to run the ball better than we have the first 3 games. We'll see how loss of Kolton plays into this.
2. Geno can turn it around. He's capable of playing much better than he has. Granted, he's actually gotten worse every week after playing his best in week 1... BUT, I still think he can be an average to above average QB and might get comfortable enough with the system to do that.

Loss of KM probably is a nail in the coffin unless one of the back ups surprises because I expect a dramatic drop off.

That was my hope is that they build some kind of foundation going into next season and address the deficiencies next offseason. Looks like will be in the market for a new QB

we'd have been better off pursuing Danny. Another disappointing week coming up
If we'd brought Daniel Jones here, he would've been Garappolo 2.0 or worse. The Raiders used to be the team where players resuscitated their careers. Now it's where QBs go to take them off life support...

One could hope we are in the market for a QB. Pete getting “his guy” scares me however.

I do believe Spytek has what it takes to be a great GM however Pete is not the type to just allow the GM to “do his job” and not have major sway over who comes and goes.

We have a rag tag bunch for defense with vets brought in everywhere providing competition at every level. On offense however we kinda failed to make that happen. Our “vet” additions were two of the worst rated O-Linemen in the NFL last year and a QB who has been mid at best with known inconsistent play.

I want to see how these entire rookie class does. If- not saying it'll happen- Bech and the linemen on both sides- start to contribute, then there's some positivity.
