Colts pregame - nothing witty after the last couple weeks

The thing that sucks about this shit ass franchise is that nearly every year, the season is over in the first few games. All the optimism, training camp reports, etc... goes out the window. Chaz Schillens turns into a pumpkin; the re-tread QB sucks; the new HC is as bad as the old one; and all the draft picks play like shit. It's uncanny how this franchise sucks the life out of every season four games in.

People have to stop psyching themselves up. I looked at our roster after two games last year and knew that the end of 2023 was a mirage. The last time I really got disappointed by a season was 2017 because we really did have the pieces to be good but were a train wreck starting with the stupid OC change that off-season.

Obvious followup that I was asking the first three weeks. So why was he down those three games?

They are both coming off wins, with Giants win being a big one. Giants have a young QB they are trying to get rolling. We are 0-3 in our last 3 and just put our LT on IR. Technically we are not out of contention either…

Again, we all have the same record. If we squeak out that win or Geno isn't color blind, we're actually 2-2. We good then? Both of those franchises are going to finish 6-11 or worse. Hell, Dart was mediocre for the most part after the first scripted drive. Just goes to show that the Chargers aren't all that.

We didn’t and Geno is and now he’s without his blindside protection…

Last year was the most draining season yet for me. I really don't want to do that again.

You know what I do now? I just watch and root for some of our young players.

Can't get invested in this team. Even in 2016, it seemed like a house of cards because we would come back late in games every week. The last time I got that feeling that we were one of the best teams in the league was the middle of the 2000 season. that's a long ass time ago to be believing in Santa Claus still, lol. Even the last Super Bowl year, it was feeling like maybe they were about to hit that ticking time bomb age wall that they hit the next year after we started off 4-0 and then were 4-4. Then, Rod Woodson turned the season around with the pick on Monday Night.
