Chiefs sign defensive tackle Lional Dalton

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Defensive tackle Lional Dalton has agreed to a four-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Terms of the deal, reached Thursday and announced Friday, were not disclosed. The Chiefs were in the market for defensive line help before re-signing Dalton, the last remaining free agent starter to re-sign with the team.

The six-foot-one, 315-pound veteran has started in 27 games for Kansas City since coming over from the Washington Redskins in 2004. He had 46 tackles and a sack last year.

He has also played for the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, where he helped win a Super Bowl following the 2000 season.

The Chiefs already have defensive tackles Ryan Sims, John Browning and Junior Siavii on their roster. Defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson, a restricted free agent, also can play tackle.
