CHIEFS ANNOUNCE ALLOCATIONS OF 11 PLAYERS TO NFL EUROPE
Jan 30, 2006, 10:16:01 AM

Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Monday that the club has allocated 11 players to the NFL Europe League for the 2006 season. That list is highlighted by three players that saw time on the Chiefs active roster in 2005 – T Will Svitek, T Jeremy Parquet and LB Kris Griffin. Other 2006 NFLEL allocations by the Chiefs include: WR Nathaniel Curry, DT Arrion Dixon, DT Eddie Freeman, CB Gabriel Helms, QB James Kilian, CB Justin Perkins, DE Zach Ville and TE Willie Walden.

NFL Europe League clubs play a 10-game regular season schedule that kicks off on the weekend of March 18th. The top two teams in the standings will play in World Bowl XIV on Saturday, May 27th at LTU Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany.

For Kansas City, the NFLEL has served as a springboard to NFL success for a number of players, including Pro Bowlers WR Dante Hall (Scotland, 2001), LB Gary Stills (Frankfurt, 2001) and G Brian Waters (Berlin, 2000), as well as other starters such as LB Mike Maslowski (Barcelona, 1999).
