Commitment to Excellence Award Dinner
March 10, 2006

The 4th Annual Commitment to Excellence Dinner is set for Friday, March 10th at the Hilton - Oakland Airport. Raiders DE Derrick Burgess, the 2005 Commitment to Excellence Award winner will be honored at this event.
Since 1966, the award, previously known as the Gorman Award, has been given to the player recognized by his teammates as "The player who best exemplifies the pride, poise and spirit of The Oakland Raiders."

Burgess, in his first season with the Raiders, broke the team's single-season sack record and led the NFL with 16, and was named to his first Pro Bowl.

The event gets underway with a reception from 6 - 7:00 p.m., with dinner, the program and dancing scheduled for 7:00 p.m. - Midnight.
